I just keep asking myself, If mayfield say that everybody was wrong about this truck, why didnt AE took part with the SC10 4x4 on all major events the past year?
Mayfield and Cavalerie hardly ran the SC10 4x4. and not without a reason, because the chance of winning was to small I guess

It was just all or nothing with the sc10 4x4 + Mayfield. during the ROAR supernats

I dont know what some of you guys are looking for here....do you expect Maifield and Cavalieri to run every class at every major off road race? Are they supposed to run 2wd, 4wd, Truck, 2wd SC and 4wd SC at races such as the Cactus or Shootout? Your always going to see them running 2w & 4w with Cav usually running truck and Maifield with an SC. This truck has shown that it can win indoor and outdoor...here is a video of the Shootout last year where Cav TQ'd 4wd SC and Maifield won it. As for AE not taking part in any of the major races with it....They have been sending BK to all of the Shortcourse Showdown races where he runs 2wd and 4wd, and winning or putting it on the podium everywhere.

No that is not what I expect.
I expect that AE calculate their best chances on each class with each driver.

In a sense they do...the Ryan's will always run the main classes with some of the other guys (like Kody and Tanner) doing some others so there is always an AE presence there.

I have a buddy's brand new ran "1 pack" Factory Team Sc10 4x4. ~

He got the Exotek locker for the slipper and mounted it up all wrong. So it melted some stuff. (put the pad in the wrong spot etc) - I fixed this and rebuilt all that.

The other problem he had during this same event was suddenly the truck started clicking.
- Clicking started half way through his first run (guessing around the time the VTS melted from stated reason above)
- It's rhythmic to the rotation of the system.
- Truck is put together correctly. I just went through it myself.
+ There's no drag on the system, it's one of the smoothest truck's i've seen roll. Mine doesn't roll this nice.
+ Again, Brand new 1 pack through it Factory Team kit.

Anyone help me? Nothing's got any scratch marks, it is not the clicker, it is locked and I know the sound it makes, and it doesn't sound like metal on metal.

take the belt off does it still do it? if not check the pulleys to make sure they dont have a rock stuck in them. and check the front clicker. Check the spur and all you gears also. does it do it without the pinion attached?

For the clicking, are you sure you've added extra spacer in the rear diff? it's been a well known issue.

With the front and rear seperated, It's the rear making the noise.

all gears are pretty and clean. No buffed contact or grit. Motor spins to a perfect hum, and the pinion is true.

Diffs are beautiful. I know that sound too. Hate it very much. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Found it.

The thrust washer has a notch in it. I'm really not sure how the hell that happened since i've had my truck the past 15 months with no issue, and on pack 1, his gets a ding from what looks like a rock.

Oh RC. Thank you so much for the immediate responses. Made my brain reboot, been staring at the truck for 2 hours.

yea have to take a little off the belt guide plastic to get a pinion wrench on or drill a hole in the bottom of the chassis to access the pinion gear.[/
if it dont fit in the hole how do i get it on and off

remove some plastic off the belt guide. i thought i had a picture but i dont. next time i have the cover off ill take one.

For guys running the VTS slipper, are you running it stock or with the Exotec inside slipper locked.

Anyone have thoughts on both who has actually used both setups?

Anyone using the MIP bypass pistons that has any setup tips for a bumpy outdoor loose track?

All of you have no clue ....

So he was racing on a large blowin out dusty bumpy track like joe blokks race's on, or an offroad track you could drive a touring car around?

Pretty sure if it was my job and could practice all day i'd be pretty good as well, not knocking anybody, but come on, somebody's got to say it.

I ran the vts with the inside locked. It pulls pretty hard from the front. Kinda weird, I could see my front wheels balloon while the rear stay normal. Might need to tighten my slipper more though, lol. If you tighten too much you wont be able to feel the difference.
