While warped arms on the AE are a pain, the scte is not immune to the bendy arm thing going on.

Two..I own 2 SC10's so it's not like I'm hating on them..it's a joke..

Sensitive aren't we . Can't you take a joke ? I also have a SC10 4x4 and was having a little fun with you , but I must have hit a sore point . I am sorry that you can't have fun with a little friendly banter . By the way if you are going to call some a douchebag learn how to spell it .

Looks great , I used flat head screws instead of the socket for a little more clearance....

you will like on the track

Evil Genius jr. 04-11-2012 01:22 PM

Thanks!
All I had were socket but I will pick some flat ones up at the track on sat.
Just checked and rear arms were not warped!!!!!!!

I think a carbon/aluminum arm would reduce flex and enhance handling and make the suspension be more responsive.

As good practice I take off my wheels/tires now so I dont have load on the truck when I'm not using it.

Wild Cherry 04-11-2012 01:35 PM

doubt just sitting has much to do with , most of the warp seems to coming from hard landings & the like, that bends um ...:tire:

So i just picked up a sc10 4x4 ft and am wondering if any one has a good setup for a outdoor big soft dirt track and its really chopy with lots of bumps and stuff

Itryied the 48 pitch gears and thought it was better, anyone else on that?

No, there are no plans for a new plastic. Making new plastics would require new molds, which are far from cheap!

The hard questions are fine, I have no problem with that.

As for the arms, yes they bend. I've seen it happen and had it happen to myself. I haven't had it happen quite as bad as you though, but then again, I don't run nearly as much as you do! Originally I told guys to store their trucks off the tires, which is good for more than just the arms. However it seems like that didn't help. Do you mind sending me the arms so I can take them to our engineering department for them to look at? That way we can get a better idea of what's going on and how fix the issue.

There is a solution in the works, I am just not sure how long it will be. Hopefully quite soon!

Thanks George.

I run a standard 540 motor and I have used them from day one. The power delivery feels smoother with them. Also alowes me to play around with the FDR a little finer than 32p will give me.

I think I drive Marcus nuts because he has to machine them special for me for the v2 center diff. but I will pay him back with wins. :sneaky:

Well, I'm about a third of the way through my build of a FT and its been fairly smooth.
I had a small washer missing for the servo mount, no big deal, and found some glass like grit in one wheel bearing which I got out with tweezers and motor spray.
The gearbox case halfs aren't particular flat and I'm guessing that's from where they land and cool when they get out of the mold. It's caused a little bit of tightness in the diffs but I'm confident they will become smoother with use.
Really enjoying building it so far.
Ordered my ESC and 4000kv Tenshock SC411 this evening as well.

Parts are still very scarce of here, I can get arms but what I really want is a front spring kit to put on the back but no shops seem to have them so I may have to order from the states.
Amain ship to the UK right?

Keep the helpful tips coming guys.
Cheers
:)
