i was planning on buying 4 proline holeshot tires and 4 jconcepts tense wheels(enough to fit on one truck,my slash 4x4)so i was wondering on how many bottles of tire glue i should buy and what is the best brand for not to much money?ill be buying from amain hobbies,also how much cans of rc spray paint does it take to paint one body and how much sealer would i need? thanks

1 bottle of CA will last a while. as for spray cans, you'll probably only need 1, but most colors need to be backed by white or silver, so probably 2. All CA is basically the same, so I'll just say use the proline stuff

I say 1 bottle should be good but I always buy mutiple just to have. And I think 1 can of paint is good, but I have never used just one color

All good CA glue is made by Loctite. I use to work for a company that sold
CA. glue under it's own brand (world wide company) and I delt with Loctite
directly. We or anyone could not buy our own formula from Loctite, you buy
what they make (period) in thick,medium,thin,rubberized and thats it. They
will lable it any way you want but the contents are all the same.

The trick with having good CA is to have the freshest CA possible, the
fresher the stronger hold it has. Also clean tires & wheels is very important
to a strong bond. Auto Zone (store brand brake cleaner) is the best R/C
cleaner on the market and the lowest price out there.

If you clean your tire till you have no brown on your paper towel you should
have a great bond if the wheel is clean of mold release as well. If your
glueing and your CA beads are turning to a yellowish tint you can bet your
tires were not clean and the CA will not hold. A strong bond will have clear
beads of CA all the way around the wheel & tire..

well what i was planning on doing was painting the hood the roof and sides of a raptor svt body coral blue,and the back white,and the rest red so how many cans of those colors should i get?

+ One bottle of tire glue should be fine. Assuming even a slightly neat gluing job not much glue is really needed for a tire set.

Some of the difference in various brands is in thickness/viscosity, which impacts how quickly it sets/cures. Mostly a personal choice, starting out with slower curing glue might be helpful. Airplane oriented shops will carry CA in a wide variety of viscosities.

I’ve had pretty good success with AKA tire glue, but a good cleaning and drying of the tire and rim is at least if not more important than the glue. It’s fairly quick setting glue if I’m not mistaken.

If you do stock up with multiple bottles of CA-tire glue-superglue, keep the extras in the refrigerator (never hurts to keep it all in it). It will extend the shelf life.

+1 on tire glue, 1 bottle will do them all. You'll only need one can per color of paint also.

This is awesome and backs my assertion that it's all the same sh*t. I KNEW it. Loctite CA at walmart? $3 or less. AKA or any other brand at the hobby store? $10.

I also use brake cleaner, but I make sure it's non-chlorinated.

Don't use CA glue. I've had problems with tires coming off the rims with this stuff. I switched to the Losi tire glue and the problem went away.
