Default Team Associated RC18T

Well, I picked up my RC18T today - looks good *but* it appears that I have a bum speedo - can't get it to set......

Sooooo, it will evidently be a little bit before I can get mine going - how is everyone else doing???

theres already an rc18t forum...

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=49664

which gets regular visits from the one and only tony phalen, who works for associated.

just a thought, but are you sure they wired everything up right? i have a novak dually that im running in my bolink until spring... now, the motor i swapped to the other side of the chassis to give it more weight on the left side of the car. in order to make that work, you have to reverse the wires on the motor. i had switched the motor, but forgot to switch the wires, so basically i had the wires backwards. i couldnt get the dually to set. once i switched the wires back, worked like a charm.

im not suggesting you go ripping apart their wiring job, im sure that would void any warranties, but id check quick to make sure all the wires are where they need to be

Yup, pretty sure - it's a RTR but I checked them and they seem to be all black/black and red/red....

Does someone want to kill this thread and move it to the established one???

well, so far.. it's frickin fast.. has super good handling.. tough as nails.. and looks cool.. haha.. one drawback.. the stock charger is useless to me.. 10 hrs.. ha.. mine charged in 20 minutes in my turbo 35.. I wonder if something like the triton would be a good charger for it.. I have a lithium pack I'd like to try..

Hay Piggy!

Don't see you a lot on the other board?????

Did you run your 18 at an indoor track or outside??? I'm dying to run mine BUT seem to have some speedo issues - it's like they made (however many they made) and I've got the bum one.....

I'm working on one locally since one guy already has brushless stuff in his but who knows.... I'm sure Associated will make it good but *I WANNA' PLAY WITH MY NEW TOY NOW*

hey chris..

what other board? I have never owned a micro.. I just needed a car to bash.. all my others seem to be strictly racing cars..

I did run a losi at our big outdoor track.. it wasn't mine.. the associated is much more consistant than the losi.. the losi seems unpredictable.. this thing is dialed out of the box.. for a little thing.. it sure holds some sweet lines.. it's too bad you got a bad speedo.. I'd be super bummed on that.. good luck.. associated is a good company..

Piggy, Piggy PIGGY!!!!!

READ the directions that come with it! I understand that works in *most* cases - just didn't happen to work in mine...

Your experience with the Mini-T is pretty much like mine except that I raced it a LOT!!! Enjoyed the heck out of it BUT I consider it probably the hardest vehicle to drive that I've ever raced.... Oviously I never got the set up quite to my liking but it's still a fun vehicle!

My belief is that it's hard to go wrong when you are using either Losi or Associated - it's all good!

Keep us posted on your 18T adventures!

I skimmed the directions.. twice.. and didn't find anything.. haha

hey do you race at Steve's tracks at all?? are you Chris Kovasomething? sorry.. I can't spell your last name... haha
