Default CRT .5 help me get it running on a budget :)

I need a servo, brusless system, and radio/receiver. Cheap or um errr affordable.

Its a pro version has not arrive yet but when it does id like to get it up and running.

Also, I need a jammin scrt10 motor mount and reciever box right?
And last thing, i want to run 2 cells lipos and plan on keeping the stock chassis instead of the extended chassis. Does this mean i cant run normal 1/10 servos or do i use mini ones like that of whats on the 1/16 revo?

Thanks allot guys!!!

I'm running the extended chassis so that I can run normal servos.
for my build:
Purchased from ebay:
Castle Sidewinder SCT & 3800kv motor $90 shipped
Jammin SCRT motor mount $18 shipped
battery box, rx box $5 shipped
I used the "bill me later" and got $20 back on my purchase, so basically I got the motor mount and battery box for free. I just paid it off this weekend so I don't incur any interest fees.

I'm going to use a flysky $35 radio and a cheap hitec metal servo $30. A couple of $20 turnigy 4000 mah hard case packs and I'm good to go.

I don't think you can get much cheaper than the castle sct system. Most ebay stores sell them brand new under $100 shipped.

If you got the pro kit. It comes with the ofna extended chassis to run 10th scale servos. For the money it's hard to beat the castle sidewinder sct is hard to beat. I use a hitec servo cause that what I had sitting around.

I'd look around for a traxxas 2.4link radio, should be able to find one w/ rx for around $50. Hobbypartz has d226f/d227f servos for around $15.

Use the longer chassis.

I don't think mine came with the extended chassis so for now it's micro servos.

What micro servo would you guys recommended I am just gonna run the stock chassis for now. Looking for a cheap one.

Can an EZrun brushless system pull this? What about those leopard 3300kv systems with the 60amp ESC on hobby parts?

How much did you pay on A-main?

There's a ton of extended chassis on ebay, probably worth the $10 or so for the kit. better handling and the ability to use reg. servos.

Dollar for dollar, the hobbypartz kit can't touch the castle SCT kit at around $100.

Ok I juts bit the bullet and bought the extended chassis.
It looked like it came with everything ready to go with no surprises can someone verify?

Sal, I like your setup sure it'll work?
Some of your links are off, I can't see the brushless system you chose

I was going to chose one of those 59.99 Leopards system. 32-35mph is fast enough for me this is just my basher.

Links work for me.

Anyway, the brushless system is the EZRun 60A with 8.5T 4000kV motor and programming card. It will work fine in this car.

I'd stay away from that Leopard system. It's a 380 size motor in a 540 can. Spend the extra $20 and get the EZRun.

Did just that thanks, I'ma get the same motor as of right now.
What batteries are you using? I was going to get basic 20C 5000mah 7.4v Lipos.
Gearing? Stock or what kind of pinion do I need?

I'm running 2S 5000 mAh 20C. These specifically:

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10098

That's 100A discharge rate, more than enough for that combo.

I'm running it in a different car. I didn't get my CRT yet, so I can't advise on a pinion.

I ordered the extended chassis just in case it doesn't come with it.
