Yes, you want to raise up the LVC point. Running down your lipos to LVC constantly will also put a lot of stress on them.
Please, I've been doing this for a long time allready with my Ebike and RC's. How many less cycles are you talking about? 5, 10, 50? Does it really matter with this low pricepoint. Plus you can offset that number with the 4.1V limit. How long do you keep your Lipo's before upgrading/replacement? 500 cycles? 1000 cycles? How hard do you stress your lipo's out?

The only time I've seen a great reduction in life cycle, is when I overheated my batteries from draining them in 1 minute. High C discharge rates lower life cycles even more. Today chemistries are way more stable than the stuff from 5 years ago.

My 2s 5000mah Gens Ace that I got last year April to do a review on, are still kicking butt. I got rid of the bullet connectors and hardwired them.

Hey, don't let me rain on your parade. You guys who want to charge lipos at 8C and above, more power to you. I'll let you guys support the lipo industry buy giving them more of your money, so I wont have to.

I have been running Gens Ace Lipo's for about a year now. I run two 4s 5k 40c's, and two 2s 5k 40c's and have never had an issue with any of them! They seem to be the best lipo's for the money in my opinion.

It's been 4 and half months since I last posted in this thread and figured I'd give a little update. I have 6 of the 5000mah 40c 2s and 3 of the 4800mah 25c saddle packs. I've run the sticks in a XXX-SCT, TRF201, and a TLR 22. In those vehicles, I run a Tekin RS Pro with a 7.5t Redline. All the batteries have performed flawlessly during practice and race conditions.

I run the saddles in a Durango DEX410 with an RS Pro at a 5.5t Redline. Again, these batteries have performed flawlessly. There is no swelling on any of the batteries and the max I've temped them at is 99 degrees (I've only temped a few of them but suspect the results are the same across the board). I havent had any issues with the stock bullet connectors in the batteries and I run Castle bullets off my speed controls.

Actually, last Wednesday at the track, my charger reached the time limit before balancing the pack (Triton 2). The cells were reading 4.20 and 4.19. I took it off the Triton and popped on the Hyperion 606 and it finished the balance cycle just fine. I've had that happen a couple times with the Triton charger over the last year.

I dont run my vehicles off track and try to race twice a week but havent made it out a whole bunch the last couple months due to work (and splitting time with the nitros). I recently bought another 5000mah 40c for a buddy that helped me out a couple months ago and his is still going strong as well (he races weekly). In the buggy and SC with the 7.5t, it easily goes over 25 minutes. I actually walked off the drivers stand a few months ago during a practice section because my feet were getting tired before the battery dumped. Nothing but good experience with these batteries.

Glad you're having a good experience with Gensace! Mine rock! Same thing, lots of punch and amazing runtimes. I'll get something like an hour and 15 minutes out of my 40c 5k if I'm just bashing. On the track I get about 45 minute runtimes in my 2wd buggy.

So far ZERO issues with either of my 5000mah 40c 2s. They run very strong.

I have 2s, 3s and 4s. All the batteries have been flawless. Hobbypartz wasn't the easiest to deal with when packages don't show up on time, but I feel it's a small price to pay for cheap batteries that work this well. These have definately become my battery of choice, although the 6000 Nanotechs I recently purchased now reside in the same category.

I honestly like these batteries, especially for the price but.....
Be aware that there is a strong possibility (especially if running high draw tronics, or hard bashing) that you will have to repair the internal solder joint.
This is a proven flaw and has even been acknowledged by HP.
