Just curious, what do you think the advantages of this design are compared to the new 4wd's out there? Is the b44 drivetrain and low center of gravity a really good combo?

do you guys use ball or gear diffs? I'd like to build one to test out against the new sc10 4x4 i'm getting and give it to my son to race to kiss arse.

Yep..fastadam will help you with that info...just keep in mind, he has a regular job during the day and not much pc access during work hours....
.
throw green springs on the rear and golds on the front with 40wt all around and tune from there. As for the shock positions...it's all dependant on driving style.

front end is done and looking tight! Chassis should be here in a day or two, and the rest of my parts as well. I'm going to use a beat old Sc10 stock body for stealth effect

Lowroad....Looking great!! I'm going to mod the chassis plate to accept rc8 guards for those that wish to use them.

I finally got mine on the track this weekend. I am very impressed with this kit. The way this truck handles the bumps and jumps and corners is far more civilized than my Jammin ever was. The front body mounts are an issue. I am going to try using SC8 mounts on mine. I have some temporarily mounted on the rear of the front SC10 body mount, and they fit the original SC10 body holes. The rear GT2 shocks droop a little too much and allow the rear dogbones to drop out so more limiters in the shock are necessary. I captured the front arms by installing a 4-40 set screw in the rear of the arm instead of drilling a hole in the bottom. I used the RC8 rock guards as well. You will need to trim the rear as the tires will hit. The chassis had the holes predrilled for the front two holes. You guys did a great job on this, and it was/is a fun project. I have 0 regrets buying and building this kit anyone thinking on it should buy one. Good luck everyone.

Steve...Thank you for the good words!!

We will definately look into the areas of concern to make improvements...I'm seeing a new rear shock tower may be in my future...
The front two holes on the sides of the chassis are intended for Blitz nerf bars. I'm seeing this trend for the RC8 guards...will look into that as well.
.
The front body mounts are in process of finding a better solution.
