I wouldn't mind giving them a shot. The Scalpel was a good car and I'm sure this is just as good, if not better than their other cars.

The model seems to be production ready. I don't think the model is produced in the far east while the headquarters is in Austria so I expect before summer.

Don't misunderstand my comments... I was only complimenting the style and the beautiful layout. I would have a hard time getting it dirty the first time... or even painting the body.

I have never cared at all what my race parts look like, just how they perform...
But this is exceptionally attractive and I would hate to ruin it with a big honkin' green motor!

I look forward to seeing one in person soon... hopefully

You have to wait for Xmass when they release the car just like the new Sony psp2. Have to rob a bank or so to pay for these new toys

definitely has some sex appeal. if the release date is 2011/2012 there's a good chance things like spindly tierods and upper deck etc will be properly worked out before then. chances are they were pulled from a 1/10 car to prepare the prototype for some publicity. if it handles as well as it looks and proves durable it'll be a winner

I sell robitronic in my country, and talked to one in their staff, and he said that now they have to test, test and test, and some finetuning, to get a good product from start.

thats why we have to wait until the fall/winter 2011/12. but lets hope that they get it together during the summer.

I am curious what electronics they were using to determine weight.

With a light design, who knows, you could maybe make the 550 sized motors. get it light enough you could do 2 2S lipos in parallel moving the buggy around with a 550 sized motor.

Heck, if plastics are sound, I wouldn't mind a version that doesn't use the CNC carriers to save even some more weight or one that uses heavy duty carbon fiber shock towers.

I like that they are using a block system for the motor mount. Makes it easy to get in and out there!

I have to say, for a first showing, this looks really good and based on the time they are thinking for release, plenty of time to fix any of the perceived issues from what we can see right now.

Who sell's robitronics in the USA?

This is what I did on our 808. 550 can motor and 2S lipos. The MMP fried but now I'm convinced it was the only part responsible as I also fried it in 6s and 1400kv The 2S lipo/550 can 808 worked perfectly till the ESC died. The car was weighting 3kg000
