Indeed they are. I have not had the chance to try the Leopards yet, but I've been told secondhand that they're the same motor as the Tacons, just a different color. Both the Tacon and the EZRun motor lines are nothing short of brilliant, especially when you consider the cost.

Got a Tacon 3200kv motor that was bought on a whim. It's performed decent, no complaints. Had to replace the bearings.

Can't speak for LRP or Tekin, but everything ThunderbirdJunkie has purchased from Novak has said "Made in USA".

That tells you how long it's been since ThunderbirdJunkie has bought something Novak...but they still manufacture in the US.

E-racer is actually a pretty sharp cat. To make light of somebody needing their hand held...well...we'll leave that in the CCRCR thread.

What, you've never had a vehicle that wasn't right? You have enough vehicles that I know better. I wasn't the one who made that comment BTW, just getting in a few good Kentucky jokes since the guy was being a jerk and comparing a company that's in California to a company located in China. Sure, they carry the same product lines but you can hardly say that HobbyPartz will stink because you ordered from some company in Hong Kong.

Yeah, but it was never a fault of the car and it can be frustrating.

And a Kentucky stab is always welcomed, but sometimes not quite appropriate

Well like I said. I'm sure it's in the setup somewhere and I aim to find it. Most people have stated that the rear toe-in hubs will take care of it. I have them but haven't put them on the truck yet as I'm tearing down and rebuilding the whole thing.

LOTS! There is a difference between "made" and "assembled". Anyway, there isn't an electronic device available for purchase ANYWHERE that does not include at least one part made in china. In for a penny, in for a pound.

While I agree that a US based company is better to deal with when things go wrong, the US companies can't compete with the selection or price of the Chinese ones. Also, I get really pissed when my $300 motor/ESC combo go bad, even though I get to deal with a US based company. When my Chinese $150 motor/ESC combo goes bad, I half as pissed.

Way back when they could get away with putting that on the box because most of the final assembly was performed in the US. Now-a-days even a small percentage of parts from China will exclude you from the right to use "Made in America"

Personally I agree with this. Too many companies slap a sticker on something in the US and call it, "Made in America"

Really?

Come up with an actual number for a bet, and ThunderbirdJunkie will dig up one of his old Novak XXL or ESC boxes.

Not really concerned with what's written on the box. I'd even be willing to bet that my old Novak T-1 has a Chinese part in it.

BTW, third person stuff is weird.

Bingo. "Old" boxes. Go buy something new and say the same thing.

I live pretty close to the guy. If T-bird gives me one of his Novak ESCs, I will gladly dissect it and get to the bottom of this mystery

They don't make XXLs anymore. Novak makes very little of interest now
