Savox Servo
Was wondering if any of you could help me out. I have a savox sc-1257tg servo. It glitches and seems to draw allot of power. I was wondering does this servo neea cap in the receiver?? I use a dx3s and the sr300 receivers. my esc is a tekin rs, I put the servo in my sons truck and tried that as well. He has a Lrp Spx and the same receiver and it does the same thing.
Any help would be awesome

Yes, you need to use a capacitor on the receiver.

Spektrum makes a cap ("voltage regulator") that you can use:

It doesn't cost too much either.

Hah! I have almost the same set up, but I use a Mamba Max Pro ESC and SR3000 (not 300) receivers. A capacitor is a must when using the Savox 1257TG servo with Spektrum. Also, if the Tekin will allow you to change it, set your voltage output to the receiver to at least 6v. I had all sorts of issues with my set up until I did this. I was also having range issues with the DX3S, but I'm not sure if that's cured yet since there is too much snow on the ground to test the problem further.
