Default Savox Servo

Was wondering if any of you could help me out. I have a savox sc-1257tg servo. It glitches and seems to draw allot of power. I was wondering does this servo neea cap in the receiver?? I use a dx3s and the sr300 receivers. my esc is a tekin rs, I put the servo in my sons truck and tried that as well. He has a Lrp Spx and the same receiver and it does the same thing.

Any help would be awesome

Yes, you need to use a capacitor on the receiver.

Spektrum makes a cap ("voltage regulator") that you can use:

It doesn't cost too much either.

I am running these same servos. Just plug the cap in the receiver and you are good to go. Good servo. A bit loud, but you don't notice it on the track. Good speed and torque.

Hah! I have almost the same set up, but I use a Mamba Max Pro ESC and SR3000 (not 300) receivers. A capacitor is a must when using the Savox 1257TG servo with Spektrum. Also, if the Tekin will allow you to change it, set your voltage output to the receiver to at least 6v. I had all sorts of issues with my set up until I did this. I was also having range issues with the DX3S, but I'm not sure if that's cured yet since there is too much snow on the ground to test the problem further. Check out my thread on UltimateRC.com for more info:
