SC tires on a 1/10th Buggy
#1
I was looking at the tire sizes of a SC tire and a 1/10th 4wd buggy tire. The SC is a little taller and not as wide. Has anyone used the adapters to run a sc tire on a 10th scale buggy? How did it work?
104mm (tall), 52mm (wide) for the buggy and
108mm (tall), 43mm (wide) for the SC truck.
I was just thinking that if they worked that would make tires universal on both cars.

Well,
You say it would be terrible, How do you know, have you tried it? I remember the same kind of comments when people started putting panther low pro monster truck tires on 1/8th scale buggy, now its a new class.
1. you would only have to buy one type of tires.
2. more options for a racer on a budget.
3. Guys are putting 1/8th tires on a SC and it works.

Yeah I think you are looking at the dimensions of an 1/8 scale buggy tire. I have seen someone put SC tires on a 1/10 scale 4wd. He could almost drive it upside down. He could also do backflips really easy because all of the horsepower, rotational force of the huge tires, and the short wheelbase of the buggy. It handled like crap though.

I think it would be better suited for bashing, than racing. I put some 1/8th scale SC tires on my Academy 4x4 buggy; definitely handled much differently, but it made it a lot safer to run out on the street. The curb wasn't a danger anymore. haha.
