My thought is that this is not a bashing car.

Funny...I was not referring to beating the crap out of it, but to do some fun laps at the dirt oval when the off road course gets too crowded.

Got it, I would suggest starting with 19/20 - 81 and check temps from there

Thanks for the info.
Since I used to run nitro sprint cars all the time, I'm fairly new to electrics. What would be acceptable motor temps?

Everyone says 160 but I like to keep mine at 140-150

Really depends on the motor. Some can run much hotter than others but I would recommend not going over 170.

Curious how many use the rear factory team alum tower mount? Does it help free up the car at all or just eye candy? Thanks guys.

Ostach24 09-26-2011 08:52 PM

eye candy that you dont really see bc the wing blocks it.

djbclk430 09-26-2011 09:03 PM

Ok, thanks for all your answers. Ill try it no mesh in gears and soft slipper.

Now I have a new question :-)

Im driving on very bumpy and gripless tracks in Germany. For my B4.1 I drilled shock pistons with 2x1.3mm and 2x1.4mm on one plate. This is working very fine. But on 4wd ist is too soft i think.
The next step could be, filling the shocks with softer oil 30/25, cause it is cold here.

In setup sheets of the worlds, Cavaleri and Maifield wrote something like drilled #1 (54). Does someone know how many holes they drilled ?

To the best of my knowledge they drilled out the existing holes. I can ask Maifield the next time I see him at SRS Raceway in Scottsdale. Really nice guy, a true ambassador to the sport.
