i want to use a vxl motor and a sidewinder esc what would be the maxium lipo and nimh battery i can use? the specs are 4600kv motor up to 3s lipo and 5-12 nimh and with a 5700kv motor up to 2s lipo and 5-8 nimh?

The sidewinder can only handle 11.1v lipo at most and only in motors with 4600kv and under so the VXL at 3500kv will take a 3S lipo. at 5700kv and above the amp draw is too high for the sidewinder on a 11.1v so that's why it's different. On the Mamba Max you can run 3S on any motor that will take it.

ok thanks do you think that the motor will over heat? i am making a slash truggy conversion so i am going to be pushing quite a bite of weight and with big 4.0 tires
