Default New 1/8 speedo, Which one??????

Hi people

I have been racing my Losi 8ight 2.0 E at nene valley today, the car was going really well until the third race when the car just died when going down the long straight, only had steering. But i couldnt understand it, The lights were coming on (Green full throttle, red brake) the speedo but no throttle and the rotor shaking. Anyway, opened the Losi Xcelorin and it smelt burnt, so i am on the look ouit for a new Speedo.
What do you guys recommend that is good and reliable?

Cheers
Chris B

First thing you should do is send that one in and have them replace it for you. But having a backup ESC is unfortunately a necessity in this class.

I have been running Tekin sense they came out. The hobbywing XeRun sec's are just about bulletproof. I just picked up a MMP because I keep hearing how great they are working in 1/8th buggies.

Really its going to come down to personal preference but you definitly need a backup one way or another

I am running the XeRun 150 and 2250kv Motor. Very nice setup. Zero cogging with this unsensored motor. Geared for 39mph Temps 160-170 on a 9.3lb Buggy (aka My Tank)

I'm running the Xerun 80A with 2250kv motor in my Ve8 and so far it's run great with no noticeable cogging.

I kinda wish Hobbywing would make a lower kv motor like a 1800 or 1900. The 2250kv is a little too much for my track.

Try the 4274 motor. Less kv but more torque.

I had both the Tekin and Castle Mamba Monster. I like the Monster over the Tekin for the plug wires. I hate having to soldier everytime to get the motor out.. They are both great ESC. Tekin stand behind there products. Buddy had a problem with his had a new one with 10 days from the time he sent it in...
