Nice, now you have an even more expensive two cell pack. Lets see 3 2s 5200s for $229 bucks, or hobbycity for $60 bucks without the gimmick

lets see, you have one cell thats low and another thats high, and you are charging in parallel so it only sees one cell, HMMMM whats going to happen,,,, you are going to end up over charging a cell and its going to catch fire. But I am sure your testing in a garage was up to par to conclude that this would not happen.

We have tested this. It works perfectly. The balancing happens so fast, there is no issues. This is even with a fully discharged cell and a fully charged cell.

Parallel cells equal themselves out to have no potential difference between them. People connect charged packs in parallel to discharged ones to end up with two storage charged packs when it's convenient.

Sorry I missed that, busy day. 60C is the rating. Details of how we arrive at that are listed on the lipo care section on the website at

How well will they hold up in an 1/8 scale? And what happens when someone accidentally plugs them into each other backwards?

This sounds great and would be a welcome solution for someone like me who runs many different cars. My concern is having a different number of cycles on the various packs. I think the pricing is good. I know you guys get alot of flack. I will say that I have two of your packs and they have performed great. One pack is even on its 3rd race season.

yah, fires also happens so fast as well. Not to hate, but this is just a way for Maxamps to make quick money because people who have no clue whats going on will buy this and start fires, burning their house to the ground. Hope you have good lawyers because some people will come after you Maxamps.

I'm still confused. What are these - stackable cells or something?

You will never know the TRUE C rating. For some reason they conceal it. I think 60C sounds better but it is nowhere near the rating if they used the conventional methods.

I still think this is a fantastic idea. I wouldn't pay $230 but considering everything else they sell, it's not a bad price.

I'm not a fan of MA really but I do applaud you for coming out with this. I truly hope it's successful.

People were saying the exact same thing about the crazy "lipo" packs when they came out and replaced Nimh. I can assure you that this is safe. We were parallel charging lipos before balancers ever came out.

They work great for 8th scale. The series connectors are solid copper, the cells are enclosed in hard plastic before shrinking it. We include two velcro straps but if you have a battery hold down, you would not really need it. They are just as durable as any other pack. In fact maybe even more since every cell has its own casing.
