XXX BK2 Set up info...
I am curious what set ups are out there. i have ran the drake set up and didn't like it. I am looking for a set up that is planted and steers with the front of the car not the rear...

Most setups work at most tracks, 90% of off-road is just tires.
When I get home from Vegas I'll post my standard setup.

Tires for SoCal..M3 Square Fuzzies when the track is wet, Pink X's when it dries out.
I'd start gearing a monster at 20/82. All the setups listed on Losi's website are for indoor clay tracks like SoCal (except Cree's grass setup).
I still don't know how my buggy is setup..hopefully I'll remember to ask my dad tonight.

On Power Push
I'm new to electric after doing only nitro for the last year. I run at Socal and have used the Brian Kinwald setup and currently using Drake's setup. I'm experiencing what seems to be A LOT of on power push. What would you suggest as starting points to lessen this affect? I've used the x2000 red and PL's Square Fuzzies M3, but both have a similar affect. Thanks.

What front tires are you using? Make sure they're whatever the fast guys recommend (I don't know anymore..been a LONG time since I've been to SoCal).
Try going to the long arm in the front, that should give you more steering.

I'm using the one's that came with the kit which are silver compound. I'm unsure of the name though.

Oooh..that could be it right there.
Pink fronts might be better, just talk to the fast guys at SoCal. I know for a while, the Losi guys were trying R3 fronts..so you'll just have to ask around.

SoCal Setup
I just converted from a B4 and loooooove my BK2. I modified Drake's set-up a little and my car is HOOKED!
The 7202 silvers is what everyone is running in the front but instead of the stock foam squeeze a rear foam into the tire. You might have to round out the edges for a clean fit. I use Pink X's in the rear with Trinity grey foam. Aaron was right about changing the front arms long for steering. Other than that, I use the stock springs with AE 32.5 oil all around. For the rest just go off of Drake's SoCal set-up...
Give it a try.

Well I did run at SoCal Friday night and I didn't particularily care for the 7202 front tires like you guys suggested. The car just pushed soooooo bad. I ended up going back to pink 3-rib prescrubs with proline firm inserts and then had great front grip but it didn't unbalance the car too badly. I didn't like the Pink X's, but there was nothing that I could get to hook up any better. I tried Red and Pink X's and Tapers, but the track was just soooooo dry and sandy. If I was over agressive on the throttle it would bite me, but overall it was good. I just wouldn't get the rythem over the doubles/whoops section. Oh well, all in all it was a fun night.

IMHO If you were having that much trouble, tires were the least of your problem. I ran those on Wed night and was dialed...look to other areas in your set-up......
