I will, which is why I'll have to change out the wheels and tires.

so far I am running Ofna Foams on mine and it hooks up perfectly, I am just awaiting my 25 pinion gear to show so I can really rip

Thank you, and yes I did. After screwing up countless short course truck bodies, the buggy body seemed easy. :D

Anyone know if this wheels and tires combo will work on the RC8Be?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCWD2&P=7

(I really like these wheels but they are a 18mm hex and the RC8Be is a 17mm hex, is there a way to make these work?)

or

with these.

assembly help

I just got my RC8e and im having trouble with the front chassis brace 89258.

It seems like its about 1/4" too long to meet the hole in the chassis.

I had this on backorder for a long time, and just got it and Im stumped on Bag B, for chrissakes. Maybe its an error from the manufacturer, since these units are in demand apparently.

Has anyone else run into this?
Im going to contact AE tomorrow for the correct part, and I super checked, double-checked, triple-checked and fourple-checked the correct steering rack assembly. There are no errors on my part in the assembly.

The part seems to be formed correctly, etc.

any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Pete

could you show us a pic? I recieved my kit 3 weeks ago and It was a breeze to install. ONLY thing!! if you want titanium screws just wait till they come in first before you finish your install. that way your not building it 2 times over

I just sent a pic to AE and they said that its a truggy chassis brace. So they are sendign me a new one in the mail.

thanks for your reply.

Nice. Did you purchase the lunsford titanium screws as a single pack with all the screws needed for the upgrade or did you have to by them according to the section of the buggy you wanted to upgrade?

GAMBITX 07-27-2010 10:32 AM

I only ordered what screws I wanted to swap over to titanium, so instead of spending 250 dollars on the kit, I spent 120! And there are only a few screws that are not titanium. Also I believe the kit comes with the pins for the shocks and I already have those. So if you want to save some coin, just order what screws you want to replace.

ohh and one other upgrade I did was replaced all the factory bearings with Boca bearings, if im remebering correctly i have the YU, they seem slightly smoother than the factory.

About the titanium screws, in addition to being lighter are they stronger? What I mean is do they give you some protection against striping them?
