Hopefully this Saturday I will be able to try out some big bores on my b4.1! From ones who have tried, could you tell a noticeable difference?

anyone on here run 13.5 with zero boost?

I ran a Viper 13.5 over the weekend at 75/29. Came off at 140, probably could have geared up another tooth or two.

i was running 13.5 novak no boost at 75/30 usually in the 142-144 range after 7 minute main (with a few practice laps)

ran a d3 9.5 in the t4 at 84/22, and a d3 10.5 in the b4 at 81/24.... both where coming off under 100 deg after 7 minute runs... cranked up the timing this morning, see what happens at practice tomorrow, still might gear up some.

really making me want to get an esc that i can boost with... still using older gtbs

It really depends on where you race at. Most of the major tracks in southern California dont allow boost and run a 13.5 or 17.5 stock class. Here in Arizona we are going to a 17.5 stock and 13.5 super stock class, all no boost. Boost also isnt going to be allowed in the major events come next year. I would save your money and not worry about a boosted esc.

Just finished installing .5 degree AE hubs and man did they create some undesirable slop in rear hubs to arms. Drilled and tapped holes for 5-40 set screws in bottom of hinge pin bosses in hubs and nice and tight again. This should have been done by AE. I guess they are wanting hubs to wear though so they can sell more

So added 0.5oz in the rear and 0.25oz in the front, the car is sooo much more stable, I can take the sweepers with confidence. Problem- now I can't quite make the triples that I used to be able to. Running a 8.5t motor, how can I compensate?

Run a 7.5, if an extra 3/4 of an oz. put you down on power that much, you didn't have enough to begin with.

Cool! will gearing up or down help? running 81s and 21t right now. Also should I add timing to either the esc or motor? I'm in the mod class now, so really anything goes...

nevermind, my throttle epa was at 85%... oops...

depending on motor temps you could add 1-2 teeth on the pinion as well as your new found radio setting
