Oyeah ....

Wheres that guy that said the car would handle horrible ?

We(Trcr) are experimenting with a longer car just cus we heard the team driver were too ...

The way we went about only took about thirty minutes to complete .

I am not claiming this is the best way to extend the wheelbase.

But we did go faster with longer tonight , that's the important fact I'm sharing with you guys ....

We

pushed the ft caster hub forward 4 x .030

rear arms back 4 x.030

also

switched to a 84 spur gear to help move the motor back over the rear arms
So how did you correct the change in ackerman caused from moving the front hubs forward?

"We" did nothing to the ackerman, as a result the set-up is very aggressive , but controllable ...

This has been done to the Kyosho 4wd. They had pictures showing it done. On the rear I dont think it would cause aproblem with the cva binding. I mean take out the cva from the out drive. There seems to be more than enough deviation from straight to accomidate shaving the arm 1/4 inch or so. seems like an easier way to lengthen the car with arms than cutting a chassis.

Nothing new with what we tried , just heard Team drivers are also experimenting with longer chassis, so we are too ...

I run the zero deg. hubs, the .5's add traction but at the cost of steering, which for me meant I had to use more brake and slide the rear to get it to turn, which can get "sketchy" at times. Driver preference really.

You are changing the doggone angle which is either increasing or decreasing the mechanical bind between the doggone and the diff outdrive. This bind is helps to give the car traction and by messing with this angle could cause adverse affects. Obviously on cherry's track it isn't too adverse, although he said it is very aggressive. By lengthening the chassis you are not messing with this bind and are only making the car longer, which should make the car more stable.

The Losi guys years ago were always able to adjust the amount of mechanical bind they had. The sliders had almost none, with dogbones in the middle and cvd's having the most. For a while some of the team guys would run the rtr dogbones to be able to adjust this.

I just got back into RC with a t4.1. Seems like SC is taking over.... Do you guys see stadium truck slowly going downhill or do you think it will stay strong?

I think SC has already taken over. There are still some tracks that have a strong stadium truck presence though.

If you look at the AE Team Drivers cars they are the same length as the 22. SO.... whatever the difference is front clip, to back clip on both cars is whats needed to get the correct length for the extended chassis.
the 22 is only 2mm shorter than the t4 chassis...

There is almost no stadium truck racing here in the NW... the bigger races has some, but we haven't had a regular club class of ST at my track in a few months. Every once in a while we will get 3 or 4... but its usually 0.

Maybe the new Losi 22 truck will add a extra log to help fire the stadium truck class ...

Wow. Guess I got the wrong truck! Ill have to get the parts to convert it to the SC. Has anyone else done this? Should I just sell the ST and buy a SC?

Having the correct front tire wasn't the issue for me, again IMO it's a driver preference. On my track the zero hubs simply work better for me as well as the AE drivers I race with, a 2wd buggy needs to be tuned to what each driver likes IMO, I simply said what worked for me on my track. Which isn't the same for everybody. On your track the .5 hubs might work better for me as well..
