inst mine last night.
when in reverse it is nothing or full throttle. I tried everything to get this fixd but hopefully novak will help today.
It also shut off at 125* motor 110*sc with "0" timing and 12/54 gearing testing only in the street w/spare tires.
More concerned about the heat than reverse though.

other than that ...seems great.

Mine's full on in reverse also. No biggie for me.

What motor are you running and what's the overall gearing (transmission ratio). If you're running something hot like a 4.5 the gear above is probably a little over the top.

Will the Ballistic 550 Brushless Motor 4.5 work with a regular mamba max? Not pro. I burned up my 5700 and eventually want the whole SC system but I can't afford the pakage right now.

You could ask on one of the CC threads.

I'm running a HV4.5 and GTB geared 13:54 in a Slash 4X4 and end up at about 130F (85F ambient) after 15+ minutes of running. But I am on a very tight track and have a heatsink (no fan) on my motor.

Ill be going to the track to race it tonight. Couldnt find anything smaller than a 12 pinion so well have to see if the 12 will keep it cool enough for 8 min?
Sure hope so.

Default ESC for my FTb4.1

NovavTwo or anyone, I am getting back into electric 1/10 buggy and want to get a new esc to replace my GTB, I was looking at the MMpro and stumbled onto this thread, I have always been a Novak guy with the ocasional lrp. But I like orange. My question is how does Havoc pro sc compare to the MMpro? I want timing advance, which is why I am wanting something other then my GTB in my B4.1. It will most likely be 13.5 turn motors allowed, can you please shed some light for me, I would like to stay Novak. Thanks a bunch. And the kinetic is a little more then I want to spend, unless it will make a difference for what I want to do.

Our new Havoc Pro SC has 8 levels of dynamic timing (including "off" for ROAR Sportsman) that can be adjusted without requiring a PC interface. This controller features the same low on-resistance as our GTBs.

For more info, see our full Havoc Pro SC information. Pairing this esc with either our completely re-buildable Ballistic 540 or Ballistic 550 makes an unbeatable racing combination.

Thank you Novaktwo, sweet! You responded first and that is the direction I will go. I have a GTB and 10.5ss in my sc10 and it rocks has never let me down once yet in two years. I probably will not hit any roar events with the 2wd buggy this year but is good to know incase I do(timing advance turn off), again thank you very much sir. Oh the issue with reverse I read here(I will not be using reverse of course) is it affecting anything else with the controller?

Might pick up a second one to replace the stock esc in my Salsh 4x4 with a 5.5 550 ballistic as well.

We definitely recommend the larger 550 size motors in the heavier SCTs such as the Slash 4x4. We do offer stand alone Ballistic 550 motors; however, we only offer the 4.5 motors in our two 550 systems
