Default 2s 5200+ mAh 45C+ options?

So I'm looking to pick up some new lipos and have been poking around but have noticed a real lack of options for any 2s battery with at least 45c and 5200+ sizes, at least not in stickpacks... saddle packs there are more options. Ideally I'd love something like a 2s 6k 50C but no freakin clue if that's even possible at 2s. Essentially I'm looking for a high-output battery with the longest runtime possible.

I've seen either SMC or Team Orion with specs around or slightly above my criteria but, aside from Team Orion, have had no experience with the quality or reliability. I'm willing to plop down serious cash on batteries but they better be quality.

So, any options out there you would recommend?

Get the Thunder Power 5200 50C...I think Scott (TRCR) has some in stock last time I looked. Or thedriverstand.com I believe has the fanton 5200 50C. Same battery I think.

Yeah, I've got a TP 5000 40C that I've been happy with, I was just hoping for a little more runtime increase than 200mAh. Dropping $100+ just for another minute of runtime just doesn't seem right

Heh, I have 4 of the CommonSenseRC 5000 20C's I use for screwing around or in Stock since the stock motor draw doesn't need higher C's really. I like them, they're solid packs.

Basically I'm looking to get better runtime on my 4wd SC with the 4.5HV in a pack that can pump out the C's the motor can draw.

Do you honestly believe that your ESC will ever pull 300 amps of current?

With the new Ballistic 4.5HV, MMP ESC, Hitec 7940, and transponder without having to run an external BEC (with MMP BEC set to 7v instead of default 5.5 to push the Hitec)? Possibly Under full acceleration the motor alone can pull about 150a according to Castle's tech guys.

Basically I'm looking to idiot-proof my setup as much as possible and having a large comfortable margin in power output on the batteries with a longer runtime is ideal.

Our websites not open yet, but I can still get the packs. I'm local and can hand deliver also.

With all of this unnecessary discussion I sure hope you are a racer and not basher looking for a few minutes of extra run time. I think you are over thinking this. You Think you have an application that no one has thought of?

Get the TP 50c and be done with it. Or start your own battery manufacturing company.

Dear Scwrod,

First, I apologize for being successful enough to work from home and have a slow day where I can slack off and post multiple replies in a thread I created looking for specific information and recommendations from more experienced people, thus annoying you. I mistakenly thought that by providing more information and feedback and asking clarifying questions throughout the discussion would be more welcome than the usual numerous posts where someone asks a question but fails to provide the most basic information... and you end up with 3 pages of speculation before the actual question is finally understood and addressed. My bad.

Secondly, yes I am primarily a racer, though a relatively new one with only a year under my belt and more comfortable with Nitro than electric. Again I apologize for not instinctively knowing which battery companies tend to produce more reliable quality products which meet my particular needs. Wanting a more comfortable margin in runtime to ensure that a DNF in a long main is because of my driving skill (or lack thereof) and not due to faults in my equipment selection is obviously stupid.

And last, there have already been 2 options provided which would fit what I'm looking for much better than the TP 50c; the ProTek and the Fantom. Both of these options I was unaware of and am thankful to have brought to my attention. While I can afford to not give a crap about costs, no one likes throwing money away. Opinions and experiences with the vendors talked about in this thread would be welcome.

Please feel free to send me a bill for your wasted time when I forced you to read this thread. I will be sure to give it proper consideration and then giggle uncontrollably.

Sincerely,
Me.
