Default Pulling the ole girl out of retirement

Cleaned her up, and threw some new/old electronics in her to compete in a local winter points series. 4x4 short course has been practically dead around these parts for a long time now. However, with the start of this series, we've had quite a few entries. Should be a blast to get this thing on the track again!

I am selling my Team Durango DESC410Rv2 roller with electronics and one new unbuild kit! ESC-Combo from HobbyWing with programming box. Fitted with a Savox servo. Comes with two sets of Lipo saddle packs plus one extra set of wheels with glued tires and inserts. The roller has not been used much and only on a carpet track. Fitted and sprayed with a Pro Line body. In the kit there is a new original TD lexan body. This roller also has some tuning parts.

Lots of spare parts! Also 7 new hard to find spur gears for this model!

Check out the photo album and feel free to ask!

Note! I am from the Netherlands so keep in mind you would have to pay import taxes.

@Nick_66: Not sure I can discuss this in the thread directly, but what would be your price? Also, I'm from Slovakia, so no import taxes. If the price is right, I would be willing to discuss it (maybe paying via PayPal?). Thanks for the info.

What batteries are you guys using for 10min mains. Outdoor track pretty decent size. Testing Trak Power 5400’s now and not sure it will make it .

10 Min Mains? yikes. I ran 5500 Turnigy saddle packs when we ran these, but we were only running 5 min mains. Probably still had some in the tank tho, not sure race pace at the 10mins mark tho. I did do the vertical shorties in paralell mod for fun, and that gave me quite a bit of run time (2x5900) but it does also add the weight somewhat negating the Durango's lightness.

Got a picture of how you laid out the vertical parallel mod?

After owning the Losi and then trying this one yesterday I feel this is much faster on the track. A lot more steering and much faster response to inputs .

I'll try dig one out.
The simplest way, you take out the battery strap, screw in a high side Uchannel in the center of where the batteries go, then have the batteries lie on their sides each side of the Uchannel (which is protecting the drive train ). Velcro straps over the top of the batteries and done. I also used a shallow uchannel on the strap to keep the tops of the batteries from moving.
One of the shortcourse forums site had it on there and i adapted from there.
Then you just need to make up a cable which connects the shorties and have that under the drive shaft ( so battery terminals face inwards ).
A 3D printer these days could make a much nicer adapter.

What kind of motor are you running? Quad pole 540? or 550? That might effect runtime also.

This is not mine, but this is the idea.

Very interesting setup indeed. I may have to look into that. Going to try a 6100mah shorty pack I found that appears to fit . Hopefully it’s enough to make the 10min run.

Thanks

Sounds good. If you can charge it to full (or if it's a hv battery, 7.6 v ) it should last quite a while. Modern batteries are pretty good.
