Good stuff, care to share your motor setup? (timing, gearing)

I am debating getting one of these to have something current for motor for stock and setting up a secondary durango as a loner vehicle, or, maybe do 1 mod and one stock, or an outdoor vehicle and an indoor one.

I will say, the gold color will look nice on the buggy!

Speaking of which, if someone has some gold or black exotek parts they are looking to get rid of shoot me a message. I wouldn't mind the 14mm hexes for the rear for sure if you have the clamping exotek ones.

yes you can run a square pack, its the same basic size as a saddle pack!

I think I am going to move the low profile servo I picked up over to the secondary vehicle I am planning to do.

What are some servos that people like that take HV and are fast, like sub .08 speed? The low pro one I have is good, but I am used to the JR9100S which was faster.

I have a Savox 1251mg in my 210 but my default go to all around servo has ended up being the Solar D770. They perform well and are very cheap.

It's not HV, but I have had good success with the Savox 1258tg, it's right at .08.
The 1257 is .07.
Haven't tried one but heard good things about the xpert servos as well.

Servo wise I'm using the Hitec 8330SH. Has the 25 tooth spline which is the same as Futaba servos so getting servo horns is very easy. Cost me less than 100 bucks. I normally run Futaba servos for the last 10 years but decided to try a new Hitex Lynx 4s and switched to Hitec Servos.

SPECS: 6.0V 7.4V
Operating Speed: 0.085sec/60° 0.07sec/60°
Output Torque: 138.87oz-in (10.0kg-cm) 180.53oz-in (13.0kg-cm)

If you need a narrow servo like the Futaba 9551 I also ran the Hitec Hs 8775MG.

SPECS: 4.8V 6.0V
Speed: 0.12 sec/60° 0.10 sec/60°
Torque: 99.89 oz/in 124.98 oz/in

Both servos are under 100 bucks and have worked flawlessly for me. Hard to say after using Futaba for so long but so far these servos have been money.

I've used the Savox 1257TG's for the last 4 years and have had great success with them. I've only burned out 1 1258TG but she was hammered on in a 4wd sc. I'm going to be switching over to Xpert though, Im going to try the SI-4431. The specs look really good:

Ok so really happy so far. My 210 V1 is now a V2, I have a Durango composit chassis with V2 arms and front hex conversion. Running in stock with a trinity gold motor and a hobbywing just stock esc. Our track is small 14 sec is a fast stock class lap.

Well, she's all done. My DEX210. Had to spend alot of time converting from a custom chassis back to the stock chassis. But the rebuild was SO MUCH FUN!

I ran it for the first time yesterday afternoon. It was my first time ever driving a car with a brushless system. This thing is stupid fast!! In my cul-de-sac I could never take it full throttle because of distance and because of spinning the tires. Holy bejeezus.

Anyway, I know you've all seen this all before, but I'm going to share anyway since I'm the proud new owner.....

A-Main Hobbies has the 210V2 on clearance for $279.99 but has the V3 available for $249.99. I'm not sure they really thought that one through all that well.

Honestly unless there is something "special" about the 12mm setup with the v3 as a performance gain at least on the rear, you can just get the exotek 12mm hexes and have them in the pit box. thats what I did.

And then just convert the front end if you want.

Or, hit me up and I have tons of the durango wheels for the front in yellow, and other parts too I won't use.

Just saw it marked down to 237, for 12 more dollars most people will probably get the v3 anyway. That's all they could do?? 199.00 maybe.
