These ones?

I don't think I like the idea of them NEVER coming off! You noticed you're breaking any other parts in crashes since you switched over to these?

Hi guys,
Finished up the build with the exception of the shocks. I have been waiting for the 4 hole tapered pistons I ordered from Nick, but figured I might as well get it set up with the stock stuff so i can at least run it. Can someone recommend which stock pistons to start with (front and rear), and a good starting place for the oil? Most of the setup sheets I've seen are using the 4 hole variety. Rather small, technical dirt/clay track; mostly small jumps. Pretty much stock set-up except for different springs (as recommended here for the RM3 config) Will be using a shorty Lipo as well.
Thanks all!

I run 4 hole 1.2 on all four shocks. Losi orange springs up front and White in the rear. Oil 25wt front 20 rear Losi oil. Works well for me....I don't run shorty packs...I think the car is more stable with the regular sized 4000-5000 bricks

I assume you had to purchase these 4 hole 1.2mm pistons? I thought it was what came in the kit, but the kit only has 6 hole 1.2 and 1.3mm pistons...

The car comes with 6x1.2 and 6x1.3 and blanks. You can either drill the blanks with 4x1.2 or solder 2 of the 6x1.2 holes closed.

I plugged two holes....toothpick and a drop of CA glue on each side and you're ready to roll

1.3 stock pistons all around with 45/40 have been working really well for me. I honestly felt 4 hole gave the shocks too much pack, which is something I personally have never liked. Never bothered to try 5 hole though. That might be where the sweet spot is like kyosho bigbores.

Seems a bit thick for a buggy.... Don't run that in my 4wd sc. What kind of surface do you race?

I have been seeing a lot of carbon front shock towers for the 210 and noticed that several of them convert the inner camber ball studs to horizontal (stock is vertical) and was wondering how this affected the geometry. To make the ball studs horizontal, they would have to push them further out (forward) on the chassis from the stock position.
Anyone have any experience with any these towers?

Thanks
J

Med. size indoor dirt packed track, mostly smooth except for acceleration points and some small craters scattered throughout. If you consider the most common setups call for 4 holes 35/30 or near there. 40+ is needed for 6hole, otherwise you will be bottoming out. I am also using dark green springs up front with dark blue rear.
