Thanks guys for all the replies
Azagar mentioned something I've thought for a while; can the number of piston holes / size be offset by the weight of the oil? Seems to make logical sense; but maybe other factors come into play that I'm not thinking about

To a point, yes. You can get the same static damping on the bench with heavier oil and more holes. You can even get it to handle very close to the same around corners for the most part, but you can't get the pack of less holes (unless you had smaller holes like .9mm-just a guesstimate to make the point). If you have some coming, I suggest plugging a few holes for the time being to get close to what you'll eventually have.

Anyone have any experience with any these towers?

The fore/aft position isn't too far from the stock position on those type of towers. The downside of them is that you lose some fine tuning ability. From the looks of it, the holes are spaced on, at the very least, 1.5-2mm centers. That's a pretty significant change to a ballstud as far as geometry goes. With a stock style CF tower (like this: http://www.tresrey-usa.com/cream-fro...mounts-dex210/) you can make much smaller adjustments, and sometimes all you need is .5mm up or down.

Ok, don't laugh now, but I never assembled a bladderless shock before; should the shock cap's o-ring be placed in the cap prior to assembly, or on the shock body below the threads before assembly?

Dex210 guys,

What are the most common extra parts to have on hand? I'm new to 1/10th and I know every kit has it's weak points. My 210 will arrive on Monday but I won't race until November. This give me time to purchase upgrades and spare parts.

I have yet to break anything, but I always carry the normal things like hubs, arms and towers.

Rear tower, Rear hubs, rear gearbox case (especially if you upgrade ball cups). Those are the only thing I have broke.... I would build the car with a carbon steering rack. Thats IT!!! This buggy is bombproof!

OK, so I figured "why not" give the carbon tower a try.
We will see how it works, all I am out is a little time so I started with the truck and cut a carbon tower.
I know it is the truck in the buggy thread, but if it works I will design and cut a buggy one also.
I still need to clean up the holes a bit and ca the edges but it fits great.

Nice eyes! Tersrey is making a light weight milled chassis for the 210. Look for more detail soon!
