Durango DEX210 Thread
Received the exotek parts today. The diameter of the direct spur mount is 7.45mm, so while you could use any TD size spur and drill the three holes it may be off balance because of that missing .55mm.
Another disappointed issue I discovered was with the one piece top shaft. I'm not sure if its just an early batch issue, which I will email exotek about tomorrow but I was unable to slide the stock slipper shaft through the two I ordered. It makes it about halfway and stops. Right now I have no choice but to use the direct spur mount since the included m3x46mm screw does slide through. Just currently don't have a Kimbrough spur.

You don't need the one piece topshaft to us the direct spur mount, the 3mm screw fits the stock topshaft just fine. But in my situation I wanted to keep the stock slipper setup and use the aluminum topshaft but can't. This I think is an issue with an early batch from exotek though. No where on the page does it mention that the direct spur is required for the topshaft.
It's funny how technology goes full circle. 25 years ago we didn't have slippers. Then they came out and it became the mandatory thing to have. Now people are going back to removing them. Go figure.

Great news, Exotek's customer service is incredible. Received an email from Mike today when up closer inspection he did notice a cut ridge at the center inside hole on a couple shafts, this was probably the reason I could not slide the stock slipper shaft through. He is sending me two shafts to replace the faulty ones.

@redo: Love your custom chassis setup. Have you had a chance to drive it yet? I think you have been working on it for a while. Do any of the stock bodies fit?
What ESC are you using? Kinda looks like the Orion..but red? Keep up the good work!

That's why I only go to OC/RC for big races. Track thrashes cars and tires. LRH is a great little track to experiment with setups on. Usually needs very little to no setup changes to translate to OC/RC very well. and a set of typos last forever there. For the DEX210 I plan on running dirt web fronts with bar code rears, and a full set of dirt webs on the DEX410V4. I like my 4 wheel drive cars to have super aggressive steering.

The stock bodys fit, but there is a gap on the sides, the chassis is about 1/2" narrower than stock. Hope to be pulling new narrow bodies next week for it.
The esc is the turnigy 120a turbo, was realy curious to see how well it worked for the price. Im pleasantly surprised at how well it works! Only drawbacks are its not roar approved and its big. Next week Im putting the lrp back in, only because ill be going to a few roar races.

@redo: Nice! Kinda reminds me of the Atsushi Hara setups i've seen. and of course like the C4.2 setup. When you have a kit ready let me know I might be interested.

@redo: if you are making custom bodies could I make molds that you could pull? I wanna make some stuff for my 410...and probably for my 210. What are you making your molds from? I think you are on the custom lexan forum too?

are those new v2 front arms worthwhile? Ive been trying to get a set for a good while now but they are backordered everywhere and for quite some time.
