Durango DEX210 Thread
When's the new DEX going to be released? And what are the differences?

My son is putting his kit together and noticed the kit comes with a 87t spur gear. I believe the DEX 210 has the same internal ratio as the B4.2 and I run 72/75 for 17.5. Living in UT, I'm having to order these spurs but the available spurs TD/RDRP are somewhat on the high side. I bought another kit that came with the Avid top shaft. My question is would it be easier to just buy an Avid Triad so I can run spurs that are available?
Could you fix the transmission casing to the chassis with just the nuts and screws and without the stupid plastic nut holder thing?

Also, if you are in a pinch, you can ream out a Kimbrough or AE spur to 8mm I.D. and they work just fine. I really like the RDRP spur gears myself.

Aluminium or carbon shock towers?

The front end geometry change has me a bit torn between the old and new (as judged by the world's pics). The curved arms place the mounting points of the shocks and hence the shocks themselves lower down than straight arms which means a bit lower center of gravity. The straight arms however make it very easy to see when the camber links and the arms are parallel since an arm that is sitting "level" to the ground is measured as kingpin to kingpin rather than at the arm itself. A straight arm makes visual tuning setup easier.
Although I haven't changed them yet, I am going to run carbon fiber towers. Since I have a pin router I can make them myself. I may also do a full carbon chassis as well. We'll see.

Another race another DNF. Stripped a spur since the track is uber dusty. Looks like I might drop out of the points series because only way I can compete is others start having luck like mine haha.
Is there a non cab forward body that fits an extended chassis? I absolutely despise with all my being cab forward bodies and refuse to run one for any reason whatsoever. I like the stock 210 body but haven't seen anything else that works on a longer chassis. If nothing exists then I'll just trim a new one a bit differently to fit.
