David- great looking buggy. Color scheme looks very nice! Who does your paint?
Try not to overtighten the screws. I just snug em. Maybe a bit of threadlock will help so they don't back out.
I paint my own bodies, but can't take credit for the paint as it came with the used roller I picked up. Not sure who did it, but gonna try and keep the same scheme.

My friend Steve painted that body. LMK if any of you would like to contact him. He doesn't come on here much but he does paint a bunch of bodies locally for racers at my local track. www.arcshobbies.com

Put a rubber o-ring between the screw head and the gear cover and the problem is solved (unless you really over tighten the screw).

I have it all written down at home, but had a pic of the standard length car on the scales- 1675g with shorty pack, alum front bulkhead, alum rear hubs, and some Cream weights up front. Could probably easily be under 1600 with all plastic parts.

That sounds really heavy.

My race weight with carbon towers + shorty & stock chassis was 1620g.

I'm trying to get somewhere in the mid 1500s. Hoping the chassis get's me there. I also have a shorty servo and another mini-Spektrum receiver.

Our TrakPower packs are 4400's so likely on the heavy side for a shorty. There is about 60g of Cream brass on it, alum rear hubs probably add 30-40g, and the car has stock steel turnbuckles still. Your target weight is easily do able I think- the cf chassis takes about 60g off alone. We also have a full size servo in it.

I have the Diggity rear tower, battery bar, front steering rack link. No problems at all for the last 8 months I've owned them.

And what is the purpose? If your in the 1500 or even the 1400 range how much time off your laps are you saving?

My money would go to either an Orion VDS-1009, or KO Propo RSx One 10. Both have more then enough torque and speed for a tenth scale buggy.

Hey guys. At my last race meet I was screwing in the front pivot ball on the inner of the front link and it shattered. I needed to use pliers to screw it out.. So is there a mod you guys are using to go better? Changing brands? Or was this a freak accident and just buy another TD one?
Cheers
