:: Don't Drag Me Down:: I had never heard of them. Apparently this is from many, many years ago....like 13 years.

Their album Mommys Little Monster from the early 80's was the best. Punk Rock-N-Roll. Song in the vid was from White Light, White Heat, White Trash.

New Orion VST? I want to try one of those motors for stock class. Let me know how the 13.5 is.

I tried to get some of this info that I need from this thread but with several hundred pages of post it became rather painful.

I have my buggy coming in and I was wondering what the most common/needed hop ups people are doing? The buggy looks pretty sweet as is but now that folks have spent some time with it I'm guessing there might be key areas that need help?

Since I'm a really poor driver I planned on getting a front bumper and rear bumper/skid plate.

I'm not looking to spend a ton on this car and drive at a rather small indoor track. Just looking to upgrade the few items that people think are really needed.

VST pro motor is nice, ran a 17.5 for a while before switching to schurr speed. Downer on the VST pro is that I hope you never strip out a motor screw hole. Can't replace the endbell.

Get a CF steering Ackerman plate from FTW through AVID. This is a weak point. Next item would be aluminum 14mm hexes from either TD or Tresrey. When you tighten the wheel nuts on the back wheels with plastic hexes, they compress and causes drag on the drive train. Last item would be spur gears from RW.

I thought i knew what i was talking about. It looked like it pushed a little on entry and you had to wait to put the throttle down on exit... It did'nt look terrible by any means. I wasn't judging by any means. I'm not knocking the car at all bc i have drove some at my local track and they are very good but we run slicks

B-Fast Diff kit is all you need. I havent broken a single peice on my car since I have had it. That includes traction rolling straight into the wall at the end of the straight at OC/RC going full speed, also an incident with a 8th scale truggy landing square on top of my shock towers. No breakage. Had one ball cup pop off so far. Thats it. Maybe a carbon fibre ackerman steering plate, the stock unit is kinda weak. Other then that after 7 full days of practice on the car running stock boosted, and mod 8.5 all is well.

I dont think I have ever done that. My brother on the other hand goes through motors like wacky taffy. Being careful is key I know someone who has a few at the track, I might ask to try one, see how it plays with the Orion speed control I have in the car. If it's as fast as my Reedy and as smooth I might pick one up as a spare.
