I will say that all the Durango products I have had my 2wd Durangos have been awesome as far as not breaking any parts. I broke one ball stud and I let my buddy who was learning to run stock buggy run a spare DEX210 V1 buggy and he raced it a whole 2 years and broke one caster block. Cars have been bullet proof. Only DEX8 with the ocassional spur gear stripping has been the only car to give me any problems.

with that new steel spur on the way, hopefully that issue will be a thing of the past with the DEX8.

I am thinking seriously about trying the exotek chassis here ... Maybe keep the Plan b around just in case. Is exotek only sold direct?

Yeah I hope your right on the metal spur curing the problem as then all my Durango stuff will be bullet proof.

Way to go Wyd. I am that close to pulling the trigger. Get some pics up once you get it please. Cain, I don't know how much different you will notice between the PlanB and the exotek. Only that the exotek is a shorter chassis. Are you on a tight track??
On another note, I went to the track today. The front 3x1.4 was better, went with 30 wt.
Are you guys running the LRC rear suspension hanger, how much anti-squat?
What springs. I have been running HRC block, no antisquat, with pink Kyosho rear spring. Car is a little push still on exit of corners. Didn't add weight today. Didn't have time.

The indoor track is pretty tight. When I take the vehicle to the larger outdoor track is pretty wide open spaces out doors. but if the chassis is -2 I am thinking them its like a +6 chassis. I am willing to give up the 2mm, more so curious on the flex the chassis has in comparison.

hmm, I am going to give my parts try a look and I may see about setting up a 4 gear transmission as I want to play with it out here. I wouldn't be surprised if it fits my needs better than 3 gear right now. From what I recall last time using one outdoors and on carpet, it fit my driving style, more so outdoors (may still do 3 gear carpet).

How things going for everyone else?

For us Plan B chassis owners, looks like JConcepts is going to make a body for the xray xb2, if that is true, that body from what I put on my car fit great. Could be an option.

On the Facebook Durango page Leo Lorenzens working in a laydown transmission for the Exotek Chasis.

On another note.. What antisquat are most of you running on indoor clay, med-high grip. MM3. Good tires are electrons, and sometimes slicks

Thanks.

Don't know if its been discussed but.... Is Durango coming out with a new DEX buggy? Tower and Durango has the V3 as "currently unavailable". Any idea on why is that?

I sure hope so.

Make a version called DEX210-E for Exotek and put all the exotek goodies in that.

And throw in that zero bump steer plate from Revolution to boot.

Durango should pretty much just copy that exact setup and be done with it. Well, I'd ask that they increase the shock up travel as well. If they did that AND had good parts support, they'd have a winner.

personally, and I know this is just me, but with my eyes getting old along with the rest of me, I would love going to full color springs again lol. The current wiff of color on the springs gets rubbed off too quickly.

I totally agree with all of you. I hope they do. I was really thinking of going to the B6. But with past associated vehicles loosening up so quickly I really love my Durango's. They have been so reliable. Curious to see what they are going to do.

Doughty are you out there??
What's up with 1/10 scale??
Anything you can leak to us mortals.

I still don't know what I'm going to do either. Durango doesn't seem to give a damn about the DEX210v3 anymore so unless they do something dramatic between now and September, I'll be buying myself a B6. At least I'll get decent parts support that way.
