Durango DEX210 Thread

Look at the Dex210 setup pages on petit RC. Look for "front hexagon" modification, it shows step by step how to modify the front with Kyosho rb5/6 axles that are 12 mm. There is a link on page 729 of this thread Exotek also makes the front axle with hexes built in. Think they are titanium.
For the rear Jconcepts or Proline b4.1 hexes work from what I have read. I believe you need to cut the pin a little smaller to fit the 12mm modification. Might need a few shims. The B5 rear hexes I hear work as well. Was somewhere in this thread.
Good luck.

I should really find out what wheels the local foam tire supplier is using and whether or not he can glue up a set on Durango wheels.
Yes the B5 axles fit but the offset is a little different.
Thanks for the info over at petitrc. It looks like you need to shim/spacer the heck out of those axles to get them to work. I thought I read over here that the B5 axles were a straight drop in? If not, I may just suck it up and order the Exoteks.

Hi guys,
I am planning to convert my v2 to a 3gear mid mount. I am running on a medium grip outdoor track, about an average of 25 secs per lap so I am guessing it's a small track compared to many of you here.
I understand that the v2 is able to mount the rear shocks either in the front or rear position. My question is, how would it affect the handling of the buggy with either settings?

Crush tube
Guys,
Make sure if you are doing the front axle conversion to hex you put the crush tube between the bearings.
TDR712003 is the part number. Pack of two. One in each side. No more binding, wheels spin free and no damage to bearing. No more loose wheel nuts.

I ran the B5 axels on my last 210v2 and they worked fine. They make two different versions, one with the hex cast onto it and one that you use the slide on hex. I would probably make sure that I get the axle that has the built in hex this go around. Last time I used the slide on Jconcepts hexes and I went through a few front bearings by over tightening the front wheel nuts.

You'll probably want to jam a few 5x7mm shims in there as well. That's what people do with their DEST/DESC trucks.

I know this has been asked before, but does anyone have a good setup for carpet?

Come on Durango, Im starting to lose interest in your brand. All the other brand have released new cars (or at least images of what's coming and when) . You have till the end of the month and I'm jumping ship.
You think that is bad try HB with releasing new cars lol.
Its been two years for them designing it and not coming out intill next year whenever that is .
Honestly though the B5M Champ Ed is mostly just the upgrades added no different chassis or anything .
22 3.0 looks the same as the B5M really but redesign from the 2.0 .
This buggy Dex210 V2 is still just as competitive though with the others pending driver i still do fine with it .
