Crush spacer
For those of you who are getting a bit of wheel bind when you crank down the wheel nut.
I posted this on oople and figured I would put it here also.
A traditional crush spacer will not work due to the inner bearing size, but.....
Place a 5x6x.2mm shim on the axle before installing in the hub.
There is a step in the axle, the face of that step meets up with the inner edge of the outer hub bearing.
Placing a small shim on the axle before that step will take the side load off the outer hub bearing making it last much longer, with no bind.
.2mm was plenty on my car to crank the wheels down with no binding, but experiment to see what you need.

Guys I need some help fast!!! I'm desperate for a steering Ackerman plate so I can run in a big race this weekend. Let's just say my ball cups seem to be from a good batch
I lost a mid air battle last night getting speared by a Slash out of nowhere. The 210 went into a crazy cartwheel and the Ackerman arm broke. I will say though that NOT ONE BALL CUP POPPED OFF!! I wish one did then the Ackerman plate would not have broken. Pretty impressed though that after about a 20 foot cartwheel that's the only thing that broke! What sucks is that it was on my first lap so I have no way to tell what the setup is like. Anyone have ANY suggestions where I can find the part?!? I'm still running my Schuie as that's my ride, but I really wanted to give the 210 a fair shakedown before handing it over to my 12 year old....

Cool thanks, I'll give it a whirl. I have some extra carbon fiber pieces laying around, just concerned with getting the geometry right.
