Default Noisy problem on v1

Hi,

I got a used v1 in mm4 build, put the electronic in it and went to a race.
In left corners there is a noise out of the back. A friend with the same car in mm4 has the same issue. Is there anything to solve the problem?

TIA
Ivo

The v1's have shorter diff outdrives. If the car is rolling enough in the corners, there could be an issue with the cvd's trying to pop out of the outdrives. You could try reducing droop in the rear to see if it fixes it.

Is it possible your wing is rubbing on your tires? That will make a screeching noise around corners.

Thanks for all the ideas.
Yesterday I build it MM3, so next time running it, I will see (better hear) if it's solved with that funny noise.

Oh btw. - I have 50 Gramm in the back of the car, and together the weight ist 1740 Gramm.
So where can I save weight without big differents of driving?

At the race it was very good. What Setup will be ok with less weight and MM3 on high grip Carpet?

If you're running stock...consider a Dimec20 composite chassis

A shorty Lipo will save you about 80 grams. It will also move your balance point closer to the back of the car so you won't need to put as much weight in the rear.

Thank you so far.
Where do I get Dimec20 Chassis?

I do ask for the Price of a Shorty. Sounds very good :-)

The Chassis is TD320229 ... I found it :-)

There are two different version of the composite chassis, the more flexible DIMEC TD320229 and the stiffer DIMEC20 TD320247.

Dimec is for low grip and low temps, Dimec has less flex for high grip or high ambient temp.

So your noise issue went away when you switched to MM3? I have mine in MM4 and it often makes a squeak-chirp sound, especially when it launches off jumps at the track.

I didn't drive yet, but I let you know if the Sound is away after building MM3.

Hey guys, looking for a mid motor setup help/suggestion. All year I run rm3 with great success (won the points series), but many of the fast guys run mid motor (rb6, b5m and serpent). Now the kicker is the track I run on is loose/semi loose with a few decent size jumps and semi bumpy. In the main groove its semi etc. We water and broom the track off between rounds and at night the moisture will actually stick around. We are currently starting a mid motor class for fall series (they are jealous I beat them). Im looking for guidance to gain as much traction possible. Ill post my setup sheet (have not changed the car yet this is just guessing). Let me know what you all think. Have advice, please offer it.

Anything in YELLOW I am undecided on.

Tires are not really issue. Best tires at our track is SS impacts, hybrids, enduros and holeshots.

Thanks peeps.
