Default Traxxas 1/8 slipper question

eRevo.

The slipper usually slips, when set properly for a couple of feet then it gets warm and starts to not slip.

It was overly loose today and slipped alot, eventually getting hot. Now even with the spring and nut all the way tight, all it does is slip, all the time.

Did the pads get glazed, or damaged?

Any suggestions would be apperciated.

Pads are poss glazed as is slipper plate. Can reverse pads and break glaze on slipper plate, though I usually just replace it.

Once one has started to slip, its tough to make it stop. Make sure its all clean and grease free on re-assembly.

I saw posting yesterday that traxxas has changed the pad material to an alum like material. You might want to see if you can get these, I know I'll be looking for some. I run this slipper on my G2R and FLM Ext Emaxx.

hi @ all!

as posted in an other thread: while i'm waiting to get the new aluminium pads from traxxas i'm trying to make experiments with a t-maxx brake disk or make my own slipper disk out of CF or aluminium...

does anyone know where to get the new traxxas aluminium pads? maybe online? here in austria / europe i still can find only the original version.

any idea duster?

cheers from vienna, jochen!
