I've never heard of cutting every other teeth...
So far so good in my TA05... It's just with belts, you have to be very careful with debris... My sedan is exposed everywhere, and even on a clean asphalt, this thing sucks up debris (like tire chunks) like no one's business...
I'm sure with buggies like a TRF501/511, DB-01, XX-4/XXX-4, Yokomos, the drivetrain is sealed better...
Are you finding your belts getting chewed up? The advice I got from some experienced belters were to run it as "loose" as possible without it skipping, it's by feel and not an exact science...
