Default Novak Thermal Protection warning

ok so I have a novak havoc system and after and now it s going into what spec sheet says is thermal protection, green and blue lights flashing. Is there any way I can tell if it is the motor or esc causing this. it started after a wire came loose and now that it is re-soldered it will cut out and go onto protection mode. the drive system is not binding and receiver an batteries have been checked. It does this when you first turn it on so it is not an overheating issue.

What wire came loose that was re-soldered. It sure sounds like either the connection is still loose or something was damaged during soldering.

It was the middle wire (b)off the motor, the thing that makes me think something is messed up is it works until you brake then when the motor stops it will not go forward again maybe 4 out of 10 times just starts flashing and I reset esc so reverse is now enabled and reverse works fine. This is a refurbished unit that is about a year old. I am just not sure when the wire came loose if it touched across any of the other wires they are real close on the motor.
