Default 2S vs. 3S on Motor Temps

I want to run my 17.5 SS Pro Novak on 3S. Will the motor temps be the same as on 2S or will I need to change gears? What would you recommend?

3s will be much higher than 2S. It must be geared down, hopefully it can be done enough.

Thanks for the input. Since a gearing change will be needed I may as well just swap the motor between classes. I will be racing at Washtenaw RC Raceway and as I understand it I will have plenty of time to swap motors.

Thanks for the input Nick and Gulio. I did expect more temp based on my Mini Slash.

I am planning to get the Velineon System from a friend to start. The price is right and I can run my 2S for a start. That should be plenty.
