Smile The Heng Long Mad Truck (pics) :D

So I was bored and I thought I would buy one of those Heng Long Mad Truck things. Heck, for $124 shipped, which includes everything, I thought if it lasted a week of fun bashing, it was worth it. Well, I have to say, this thing is a rip! It's not very fast, but it has lots of torque. It's a decent climber, and the quality, while not as good as an HPI, Traxxas, etc., is still hobby class. It's surprisingly well made, though I have some complaints like the all-phillips screws and exposed pinion and spur gears where they could get dirty. Still, this thing is tons of fun, and the included FM radio is actually decent too (LCD display, 10 model memory).

Looks pretty good. Put some CORR tires and a Slash body on it and have a blast.

one of my neighbors got one of these.took him about 2 days to get bored and put a novak 10.5 brushless in it.We found out that the dogbones are not hardened when it started twisting them in half.took 3 batteries to twist 2 out of 4 dogbones in half.

Someone came into the hobby shop today looking for a motor for one...

Sold him the 12T Titan from Traxxas, I wonder if that ESC can handle a 12T motor?

Hey all, just bought the mad truck. Am a newb with rc's, so bought this decent quality truck . Pulled outta box, charged battery. It does more clicking then moving. I live in Alaska, so its easier if I can try to fix then ship back. It trys to move then clicks over and over. Any help would be appreciative. Thanks

Default It is more likely a bad battery for the clicking

You may need to get a new battery in order to get rid of the clicking. Try charging the battery it came with for 1hr 45 min to 2 hrs and see if that helps.
