Nemix,

Team Associsted makes a great Ready to Run eletric buggy. You could charge up the practice packs at home and bring them to the track and swap them out when they dump. The RTR can always be updated as you get more experience.. IE speedo, motor, batteries, tire etc.

I think an Eletric class could work at the new track, they just need some electric people to help out by explainning layouts that work for other 1/10th and 1/8th combined tracks. Maybe they could make a few small changes?????

From what I have seen many tracks are jumping on board to make 1/8th scale tracks, which is cool but I hope they do not forget about the 1/10 scale class that is out there. I am not saying this track has done that but I have seen some other tracks that have done that and the racers suffer. I have a little guy and he is not ready for a 1/8th scale buggy or truggy he needs to start out with a 1/10 scale buggy or truck and work his way up. I am hoping other tracks read this and can make it an even playing field for all.

A track could make more money if they make a track for both classes. I have two examples Pit Stop Hobbies and Bumps and Jumps. Both tracks are great and are built with both scales in mind. Jim and Chris do a great job of making their tracks more of family atmosphere and they are both packed each weekend.

Thanks for letting me go off on my 1/10th scale speach.

Well kevin here you loud and clear how about you bring a 10th elec down sat and see how the track flows for you and we will go from there.

As far as electric goes I just dont know it is as appealing to new comers to the hobby. And as far as other tracks like bumps and jumps ect I dont really call 5-15 cars per class packed house. I am definitly open to any Ideas. Come on down take a look and we can sit down and talk.

PS call me again I dont have your # to call you back..

Matt,

Sat. is out for this weekend, I have some family stuff to do. Maybe the following weekend.

I know you guys are starting out and many of the racers in your are have Nitro powered cars and truck and that is great. Eletric can be as cool as the track can make it. If the track is to big or the jumps to far apart then yes new comers will not want to get an eletric or Nitro car. But if any track makes the jumps for both scales then both Eletric and Nitro classes can grow.

Default Waldorf RC

Well hot off the press!!!

Waldorf RC offically had a race their were some small mistakes made by us the track crew but all and all a very good day. We had a lot of positive responce from all the racers.

There were in all about 50 racers that came out to help work on the track and practice for free.

I would like to personally thank all of you that came out early and lent a hand on the track.

Lets get down to the free $50 to win main event.

There were 2 heats of buggys that stayed around late to race.

TQ 1. Chad Phillips 10 laps 5:20.947 Fastest lap 29.863 (Trinity)
2. Tony West 9 laps 4:57.887 Fastest lap 31.249 (T Q FUELS)
3. Brian Miskolczi 9 laps 5:01.197 Fastest lap 31.032

A Main Finals

1. Chad Phillips 12 laps 6:32.631
2. Brian Miskolczi 11 laps 6:39.219
3. Marc Faneli 10 laps 6:18.533

This was a great race with several lap times in the 29's

Fastest lap was set by 2nd place driver Brian M. 29.362 fastest lap to date at track.

Next week will be Waldorf RC's offical 1ST week of racing. Plan now for next weeks race should be a bigg crowd. We have a few little things to fix
1. P.A. system louder. (biggest problem easy fix)
2. Fence around outside of track. (Hopefully in the next few weeks.
3. Start time for practice and for Race. (need input I think 8am prac 12 race)
4. Positionblocks for start of race and Marshalls.

If you guys can think of any thing else please post on this forum or call me direct 301-399-4376

Thanks Matt Suite
