is it a spetrum recvier? If it is there should be a bind button, on a bind slot where the servos plug in and you will need a bind plug.

If the receiver is grey there will be a small bind button on it. Hold that button down and turn on the car. (if it's a black receiver insert a binding plug) The receiver will blink once, then start blinking rapidly.
As soon as that happens grab the radio and on the back where the Spektrum module is there is a similar looking button. Hold that down and turn on the radio. It will also blink and within a second or two the TX and RX will find each other and you will be good to go.
