I got the new 2650 in there and the rear clamp hides the grinding marks so it looks good. I'll have to finish up the wiring when I get home from work. Of course, it just had to pour a small flood this afternoon so it looks like the MM2's waterproofing will be tested on the first run. I'll be using a 16t pinion to start with and going from up there after some good off-road time on 4S.

I COULD use 2 2s batteries so they will fit better.. But after running it with 6s, I will honestly never use anything less than 6s again. So much power, I love it!

So no one else is using 6S? C'mon theres got to be some people... I mean, this thing is known for it! I couldnt imagine driving it without 6s.. Ha. Just wish there was a better option for battery tray.

i'm using 6S ( 2 x 3S ) . with the venom 5000mah, the left side of the body raised up a little. but if i used turnigy 5000 mah dual packs it raises even more.

if i understand your need, no need to look after moded battery tray to use a 6S lipo setup. all you need is to get two 3S packs with 4500 mah or less and it will fit just fine.

Yeah, when I ran 6S I had two 5800mah batteries, a very tight fit and some extreme bashing/jumping broke my battery tray too.

Now I run single 4S batteries, too easy to break things on 6S.

Is there an advantage/disadvantage to running just one 4S
as apposed to two 2Ss?

It's just easier to charge one battery and to strap it down.

Changing to EC5 on my cars means I can share batteries between them too.

genebaby did you wire your flux dual esc wires with a single battery wire ?
if yes, please post a picture of the wiring you made to attach single pack to the daul esc wires.

i need to compare mine with it.
i got 3 flux tork operated buggys and a monster 6S single pack and i don't want to damage any of my buggy's esc's.

My 3S 5000 Nano-Techs fit with the trays at their farthest apart but I had to cut the sides off to fit my 2S 6000 Hardcase packs. I lined the bottom of the tray and my batteries with industrial strength velcro. Once they are strapped in, they ain't going nowhere.

The MM2 / 2650 is in and working fine. I gave it a quick shakedown with some not-so-fully-charged packs. It's definitely faster on 4S now but it's too dark to bother charging any packs to run this evening. Tomorrow will be fun!

Yip I ran 6S 40c for ages its awesome!!! I had it geared at 25/46 for awhile it was a rocket!!! but I have sold my 6S basher vorza and only race now. I raced at one meet with a 6S and 1400kv Tekin it had loads of grunt, but more than needed though for our track and the weight of the 6S batteries made it a better option to go with 4S 1900kv 21/48 gearing. Yer I ended up making a stainless steel tray for my basher vorza they ended up weighing less than the stock one! I can sell you one but shipping might cost abit as im from New Zealand. Putting velco on the bottom of your battery tray like Metal One done does help alot as well.

or this LOSI Tray can be moded to fit LOSA4461 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...E-Battery-Tray

Just make or buy a Single Pack Deans Adapter like this, its the way I do it http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...dapter&cat=239

Thanks a lot nofxnz i didn't got your point about this loop when you post it earlier till now i read the maxamps link. i'll make one myself then check back with you.
it's just connecting it to one side of the esc dual wires and then connecting the battery to the other, right ?
Thanks again .

When I changed to EC5 I cut the Deans plugs off and removed the bridge wire in between the + and - wires, so there is no plug or anything, just + and - going into an EC5 plug, and of course my batteries all have the other side of the EC5 on them.

After I bashed and broke my battery tray I started putting velcro on the new tray and batteries.

I'm really liking 2650kv geared 16/48 on 4S. It's just fast enough to be dangerous to itself and others, has gobs of bottom end and excellent run time. We clocked it at 48 mph on the runway today. 6S... I couldn't resist. 60 mph.

Next thing I want to do is put the same pinion on each motor. No mesh adjustment. Just a quick swap and I can bash on 4S or 6S and stay within each motor's limits.
