this is mainly for bashers as opposed to racers, but has it made anyone curious to see if we can shoe-horn the new 1/5 scale CC speed controller into the vorza so that we can basically run it anyway we want? its basically just a CC ICE heli controller 160 amp with a fan on it. what do you guys think?
Controller would not be the issue, what motor would you run?

If you wanted a Tekno chassis but still really wanted to run an Elite motor mount, you could use the V3 vs the V4 chassis.

you can instal the battery and adjust so either the susp. arms or the drive bones are parallel when the chassis is dropped from a height of 6 inches. thats how we did it back in the ice age (mid 80's)

I'm not convinced it would be money well spent to convert the Vorza with an aftermarket chassis or kit, especially if you really only use it to bash and don't do any racing. But, if you like to tinker and buy new stuff for your buggy, then I'm sure it would be a fun build.

I had two extra Ve8 chassis' and the parts to convert my Vorza if I wanted, but decided the stock chassis was stronger and offered a better layout. I sold the extra chassis' and never looked back. The aluminum on the stock chassis is kinda soft and scratches easily. I think that might be the only disadvantage.

If you are set on doing it, I'd look real patiently for someone selling a lightly used conversion kit.

I don't know about the ESC, I'm sure you could figure something out. I bought one of the car versions of the 1717 1580kv motor from Castle Creations to use in a truggy. It was HUGE. With some spacers under the center diff I was able to get it to fit with the EliteRC motor mount. It had tons of torque and ran really cool. I imagine you could run just about any battery configuration with that motor. I ended up selling the motor and getting a 1500 series 1800kv motor to replace it. Mainly because the 1717 motor was big, long, and heavy. I use my truggy to race, so the added weight wasn't good.

Yes it is cheaper. I'm thinking of picking up one also just to build. I have enough vorza parts to build a whole other vehicle that I bought in the begining that I haven't needed thus far, plus a brand new cc 2600 still in the box. So I should be a fun build.

To those of you who have changed your vorza bodies, which ones fit?

Ve8? D8? Jc Concepts? etc etc?

Any pro-line bull dog bodies?

Thanks in advance.

ill say any, depending on how much you want to modify it! a fella on here has a D8 body on his, ud have to ask him how he did it. i have personally used an MP9 shift body. u need to use velcro on the sides for mounting tho. it will also open up more possibilities if u rotate your speedo (wires).
