My eyes are on the Fusion pro and the H9E but Money is the problem now =)
I too prefer the side by side battery layout. Lower COG and easier wiring if you use cased packs that take banana plugs.

It looks like the SIC will be a good shootout of E-buggies. I currently drive a RC8e but will be switching to a 808e during the winter
The X-ray seems to fit my driving style better. For me the RC8 plastics seem to wear fast. I do not mind maintaining the RC8, I just have a lot of cars and time is working against me.
I have a 808 with 8 gallons on it and the front and rear are tight as the 1st gallon.
I am not a Losi fan myself. It is not that I dislike them, there are just too many on the track. Same reason I would not drive a mustang

I love my Xray 808E. It is a very easy conversion to do.

I can answer that.

1.) It is not a common name so it is like the Mustang and Camaro guys getting beat by the Hyundai Genesis.

2.) We have made a lot of improvements in the past 2 years. Old School Caster reputation was bad. Car handled great, but broke alot. We monitor and solve every problem we see to the best of our ability as it arises because every customer matters to us.

3.) Every customer matters to us. I could write a book as to what that means and do a comparison, but I think it speaks for itself.

Finishing up a MBX5T conversion. The balance came out pretty good with the 6S pack. Will finalize some wiring runs and get it finished soon. The original weight without tires and fuel was 3333 grams (full tank of fuel would be approx 168 more grams bringing the total to 3501). The weight after the electric conversion was 3436 grams without tires.

By the way, most people here are more interested in the pro stuff instead of the race roller stuff, but if you know anyone at your local tracks who want to get into electric 1/8, the price of those dropped thanks to the OFNA announcement.

Reminds me of Gil from a few years back. One reason I switched to the "new" company back in the day....

Not at all. However I really like the Caster dual side by side battery tray setup over strapping 2 packs together.

I Just have several 7.4v Lipo's, so that is the easiest configuration for me currently. I'll see if my wife get's me a 1/8th for my B-day or Xmas
