Thanks again for all the help im gettn excited to what i am going to keep/ buy!
The SC10 does have composite gears, but come on, it's the Stealth. Guys have been throwing mad HP at the Stealth for decades! It the best tranny in the biz IMO.

Don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thumbs up

Ok, that sounds good then. I am def leaning toward the SC10 now, especially since they are in the same class as the slashes at my local track too. (Just gotta make sure its stock electronics )

Thumbs up Wheels

I have seen that almost everyone has the common problem of wheels that break because they r weak, is there replacement wheels to put on stock tires?

AE is releasing an upgraded wheel, JConcepts offers a SC10 wheel for the SC10, Pro Line offers a bead lock wheel for the SC10, and then you could always add a hex from the TC3 and run wheels for the Slash, the upcoming Strike and the upcoming Blitz.

Associated should change the SC10 over to a hex for durability and for class continuity IMO.

I have the SC10, a Slash w/ the TT chassis, a custom Slitz()and I have a Strike and Blitz on back order.

I prefer the SC10 to this point.

We're aiming to be the most informative SC only oriented site on the web.

We have several manufactures providing us w/ first release availability and technical support.

I just got back into RC after 4 years lay off. I think the main reason I got out was having smaller kids and dragging them to the track only to spend the day fixing their trucks. The kids are older now and have their own activities and so I have more time on my own. Getting my old RC stuff I was please to find that my T4's were still being used. I started running my factory version and found out that I was breaking things at a pace similar to how my kids did. I probably never broke anything because the kids would break things faster than I could. I was getting frustrated and thinking this is not for me. I began looking at the Slashes at our track and notice how robust they seemed to be. Well I bought one and never have been happier. They are very forgiving and can take considerably more abuse and they keep going. My point is durability is important if you're starting out because it allows you to continue to drive and learn rather than sit at the bench fixing things.

Thumbs up SC trucks

Completely agree with you. I think i might go with the SC10 and put gt2 arms on it to beef it up a bit and jb weld the wheel holes and I should be ok. Its so funny i have been reading and people comment how the sc10 is really fragile and then others say its super tough lol I also have been on RCShortcourse and found a guy that converted a rustler to a SC truck so i might attempt that so i have both We will just have to see tho, i just wanna get to a track and finally have some luck with offroad racing now that all my nirtos are gone!!!

It was actually a thing of beauty. He came off of a jump and just glanced off of a pole. The wheel hooked the pole but the body missed. The truck kept on flying straight and landed flat. Upon landing the tire rolled under the truck breaking off the tab on the shock cap. It skidded for about 5 more feet before stopping.
I would bet that if you hit the pole the same way with a slash that it would also break. I've raced AE stuff a long time and have broken just about everything possible, but also seen other brands do the same. Usually driver error.
