Default Mamba monster

my question is will a mamba monster work as good by using a single battery or in a series connection

What battery are you going to use? A single 4s or 5s lipo will work great.You can also use 2 2s to create 1 4s pack.Either one will work fine.

Both work fine, as long as the battery is a max of 22.2v

Esc doesn't know or care how the battery is constructed or wired.

i guess my real question is that is it a good to use one battery for a mamba monster?

There is no difference as far as the Mamba is concerned. It isn't like the Novak where the BEC is only tied to one battery. The MMM takes in the full pack voltage and then produces the radio voltage.
