I just got the rs pro with a viper 5.5xl. would this be a decent combo to run? I thought the rs pro could handle these easily? I've been out of electric for almost a year and seems things have changed so fast. I also have a novak 4.5 HV to throw in. If all fails, would the castle 1410 work well with the rs pro or should I go with a MMP? I'd hate to see all these go to waste though. Hopefully I can run well with what I already have.

I was thinking of doing the same but with a O.S. .18 TZ. LMK how it turns out for you and I may still do mines and get a Losi ten SCTE instead for electric. It would make more sense to me as I have both nitro and electric 810 buggies so parts would all be interchangeable.

An .18 would be great in one of these!
I used to run an .18 in my CRT .5 and it was insane!

im having problems with my mmp. I just got it today and soldered it to my battery connectors and to my motor and went outside to run it. I am very pleased with the peformance but it often will glitch. almost like super cogging my motor is sensored and sensor wire is plugged in but it will just loose all control and start to slow down then it will come back speeding ahead for about 3ft then have no power then go again. (full power-no power-full power-no power then works fine) all this happens in about 1-2 seconds. it is very frustrating and IDK what to try to do.

What battery are you using? If your using NiCd or NiMH then it may be possible that when you go full throttle that it is tripping the voltage protection in the ESC due to the current draw. Have a look at what the voltage cut off is set for the ESC. If your only using NiCd or NiMH its safe to turn off the voltage cut off. If your using LiPo then it may be that your voltage cut off is set too high, or the battery is in a low voltage state or their could be an issue with one of the cells.

Cheers Mario

What lipo are you running? Top of the line doesn't tell us much...
Also what servo are you using?

When i got my MMP i had the same problems, i fixed it by lowering my servo voltage and adding a power cap to my reciever, but ive just removed the cap other day and fitted a CC External BEC, works really good now and i can run higher voltage to servo with no problems...

The MMP has a weak internal BEC and when used with good servos youl get glitching problems hey...

Start power on low and make sure your steering endpoints are set proper. Mine were to close to lock and it would cause voltage drops . Might double check solder joints too.

I wouldn't necessarily say thats top of the line. I was told not to run anything under 50C with a mmp/550 combo... They are JUICE hungry!
I have been running 50C SMC's in mine... Not a glitch one!

The mmp BEC is changeable with castlelink default is 5.5v you need to up it to 6.0v or 6.5v is with I run with good servos and no problems. Or add a power cap or external BEC... I have 35c and 40c lipo with no problems but make sure your connectors are high amp and fit nice and tight with good solder jobs...
