Teeforb....

They are not scraping anything..There is a new rotor to go with the sensored motors...I have seen the Novak drivers all testing a larger rotor and it definately rips, and much cooler than the old rotors. Better yet, no motor failures at all with the new rotor. Barry Baker used it at Silverstate and it was dialed.

I think they have the motor thing figured out with the new rotor, but replacing their controller would be a wise thing for them to do. Not everybody wants to run 2x2S batteries just so their BEC can work properly.

This week, Barry is running his Hot Bodies D8E with a 4.5 motor , with the new rotor and the Novak Slyder speed control on 2s for OCRC. He has the track record and fastest lap over all the MMM and LRP guys.

will he be at the JBRL series at ARC mid-May? You OCRC guys should ALL come out. That can make at least 25 to 30 electric 1/8th scale buggies for this race. maybe even more.

In regards of the reliability of an 1/8th electric system, i can not say for sure OCRC puts the system to the test. Typically, heat and long straight away's put these types of system to the test. But Yes, Barry is REALLY FAST!!!
