Some guys can put together a car out of other racers spare parts on any give night and beat everybody. Good driving and a well prepped race car
are the usual bet. One thing is for sure, These trucks are getting some new people into this hobby. Let's try not to scare them away.

1.Have fun
2. Learn
3. Share your knowledge

Here are the results for me the last time I raced. SC10 has to race with the mod slash class. The SC10 is a challenge to drive but I do seem more consistant with it and stangly the same guys that beat me in the spec slash also beat me in mod. My truck, SC10, is working great for me but it did take a long time to set up. Also as the track dries it works better with Proline Switch tires. Never change the slash and I run within a few seconds of the same time every race but usually closer to 9/5:01 barely not running 10 laps. These are A-main times on a dry track but still better than most I have seen.

SC10 13.5 Havoc
Laps Total Time Fastest Lap On Lap Avg. Lap Time Status
11 00:05:25.740 00:27.532 3 29.612 Done!

1=2/27.460
2=3/37.650
3=3/27.240
4=3/29.912
5=3/30.172
6=3/27.330
7=3/30.365
8=3/27.322
9=3/27.398
10=3/28.026
11=3/27.910

Spec Slash
Laps Total Time Fastest Lap On Lap Avg. Lap Time Status
9 00:05:21.862 00:30.847 2 35.762 Done!

1=5/38.223
2=4/30.847
3=4/33.498
4=4/32.475
5=7/43.719
6=7/36.048
7=7/38.254
8=7/36.645
9=7/30.899

I think part of it may also be that I consentrate harder when running the SC10 as it is so much quicker and also breaks more. Slash I have only ever replaced the rear hub carriers 1 time with no other breakage in 6 months of racing every weekend. SC10 1 front arm and bulkhead and 1 rear arm, and stripped a rear wheel even with epoxy, in only 2 weekends of racing. I have fun with both and could not chose 1 to give up if I could only keep 1.
Sorry for the long post but I have seen peop;e want lap times and comparisons heads up.

I have the kit price $159.95 +tax and 15 bucks for the Losi 2deg hubs and hinge pins. Everything else is out of my stable of AE stuff and extra r/c parts. So what are you getting at ????? Lets see some pics of your truck... or do you not own a Slash.. .

Heres my truck.

IMO I think AE should have done some better testing between the Slash and the SC10 on the track. I think they modded a T4 to fit the dimensions of a "scale" CORR truck, slapped some scale looking tires on it and called it good. In its stock form, its basher handling ready but not race ready like they claim. I guess it is? if it was an SC10 only class. The Slash only requires a few changes to get it to handle well where the SC10 is surfacing with needing major mods just to catch up to the Slash.
I will keep plugging away at trying to get my SC10 to handle reasonable, but I am questioning if it is possible.

Are you running the 1 degree rear hubs?

Those and some tuning on your oil and springs along w/ grooving the rear tires does wonders.

You guys who can't get the SC10 to handle crack me up. Learn to tune a setup.
The first time I ran my SC10 was at the MORL here in MI. It rained all night and the track was still wet and muddy in the afternoon. I ran my SC10 with other Slashes and SC10's during practice and I had no trouble with the trucks handling with the kit setup. It was precise and sure footed. It looked better than the Slashes on the track. I ran against my buddy and his Slash and I could carve corners where he couldn't.
I've owned both and the Slash always felt sluggish and numb. The SC10 does feel like a T4..I'm way happier with the SC10..

If it was "precise" and "sure footed" then it isn't a CORR truck. The real CORR trucks are lumbering poor handling beasts. SC10 is some bizarre hybrid disguised as a CORR truck. Precise and sure footed? Yeah, and I'm a Japanese fighter pilot.

I know what I'm talking about. You weren't there or where you?.
It felt like a T4 and I've had one of those too. It felt way better than my Slash ever did.
