Well, decided to try a sensor setup, plus i got a great deal on a Novak Havoc Pro and a Orion 17.5t motor.
Friend suggestion is start at 26/75 and pick up 27-28t pinions...
Setup is as follows.
17.5t Orion brushless sensored
Novak Havoc Pro SC
Turnigy 5000mah 40c (race)
Racer's edge 5000mah 20c (practice)
Any suggestions?

I was looking at brushless motors recently, and Trinity has some new motors out. I was searching for a 10.5 because they are gonna allow the 10.5's
to run in the stock class. I couldnt find any team checkpoint stuff...
Although I was gonna try thier brushless motors, looks like i'll have to find
another brand of motor to run.

^ looks like thier website is also down, bummer....

Which type of pinion can I use on my SC10 ??
Hi
I have bought a used AE SC10 with 2wd, but there was no pinions to the motor with it, which type of pinions can I use, I live in Europe, there we have different kinds. Is it modul 0.8 and Pitch 48 that I can use?
Best regards Racerkorer

AE uses US standards; so 48 pitch is the way to go

anyone got a boosted 13.5 setup? preferably on tekin.

I run a Tekin 13.5 and a losi ESC Boosted. I'm going to try 25/75 for gearing. 26/75 was too high but, I'm getting closer to the sweet spot for my track. We have a long straight and a jumps right on the exit of corners.

Posted in the main SC10 thread, no response yet...
I have a Mamba 7700 that I received in trade. Assuming a guy is dumb enough to strap one in an SC10, how should it be geared?
Thx.

You will probably want to gear it as low as possible. 18-19T pinion/ 87T spur. You will be fighting temps the whole way. I would trade for the 7700 for a 4600 or 5700.

I have a Novak ballistic 6.5t I am putting in my sc10 along with a mmp. What I should be geared. My local track is tight with out a lot of big straights.

Same goes for your 6.5.

Looks like I found the sc10 gearing thread...
Here is my set up:
FT SC10
Tekin RS Pro - Blinky Mode
Team Powers Plutonium 13.5 - 13mm rotor or 12.5mm rotor
Our track is medium/small sized with a small straightaway but the main racing goes on in the infield so torque is where people win. There is a guy at the track that runs a tekin redline 13.5 in blinky mode and he either has a 13mm or 14mm rotor cause it has crazy amounts of troque... I drove it
My current gearing is 81/21 and the endbell timing is at +3 and after a really hard running main it came off at 160. The motor never dropped off and felt smooth the entire time. It is ok in the straightaway and the infield torque is decent... I am trying to figure out how this guy has so much torque and wheels it like crazy? I tried his gearing at 81/24 and it seemed ok but not anywhere near his torque. He has maybe +12 or +14 on his endbell.
I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on gearing more for torque since our straight away is minimal so top end isn't huge... Thanks in advance for any help General suggestions are welcome as well.

Trying to get the max out of the 17.5 Trinity D3 for the "boosted" class.
I'm running smartsense on my MMP with brushless timing set to 20, and i'm at the second to last tick mark on the motor, and running 28/75 gearing and temps are coming off at right around 100deg with about 10mins of mixed driving with a lot of full throttle.
Where should I go from here? Should I go up in gearing or switch over to the C.H.E.A.T settings to see if I can add more timing?

Ran at my local small carpet track and settled on this:
17.5t
MMP ESC
28/75
1deg boost on motor
35 deg boost
Active Range 3800 - 7800
I was using as much throttle and break down the short straight as I could, temps at 8min on motor were around 120deg and around 145 after 15mins.
