Tower Hobbies has them for $270 if you have a Super Saver Club membership (and thus a $60 off 300 coupon)

Use the Tekno mud guards. You have to notch them to fit, and drill some holes to mount them. There are lots of pics in this thread, just try a search for Tekno.

Do you have to notch and drill the guards that I listed above?

Anything is going to need holes drilled in the chassis to secure the guards to the buggy, because there are none stock.

Nitrohouse website says those Jammin guards will fit the 9e with mods. But the those guards from ebay are for the Hyper 9 nitro...so I'm wondering if they will fit the 9e...?

The nitro guards will NOT fit. The nitro chassis is asymmetrical and nowhere close in shape to the electric chassis.

Like I said, the proven choice, if you do a search for Tekno in this thread, is Tekno's mud guards. They fit great, once you drill some holes.

What brand of pinion gears do you guys like to use on this buggy? I will be using the Tekin 1900kv motor. Also, has anyone had any luck with fitting the 15t pinion, or should I stick with the 16t?

Sure ...

You can run a 15 t pinion. I run the OFNA pinions that we stock at West Coast....check them out.

So there's enough room to use a 15t pinion with the T8 motors? Some people were saying it might be too close. So I just wanted to make sure before I bought the pinion gear.
